I am totally stuck on what to have as favours....My theme is black, white and red with a kind of vintage feel. I am having black wooden roses with a salt dough tag attached with ribbon as place cards and I am totally stuck what to have as favours. I've looked on a few sights but everything seems a bit dull. I want something interesting that people can keep. Preferably not edible as I am going to have big lollipops and sweeties on the cake table. I would like something that fits the colour scheme and when people see them, they will smile :-)
Any ideas? Any help much appreciated

Hmmm maybe poker chips with your wedding date and initials on? Went to a welsh wedding last year and there were love spoons on the tables which people could keep too :)
My colour scheme is exactly the same as yours... I think I have pretty much decided on white sugar mice as they're my favourite and I think they are cute! They will be given away in little black box individually. I went to a friends wedding recently who gave out cigars as favours to the men and little pots of lip gloss for the women... which I thought was nice.
Hmmm, how about making something out of salt dough they can keep?

Here comes the bride......

Personally I think the black wooden roses could double up as favours? If you're having a vintage feel, you could think about giving out Vintage Hollywood style film reel/ clapboard mini photo frames or photo holders and tie some red ribbon on to keep in with your colour theme. Vintage to me also makes me think of feathers, lace etc, maybe decorate some red boxes with black feathers or something, or have them made. If you don't want to fill them with sweets, maybe some mini soaps or something.
Good luck with the planning

Have you already decided?
I also think the roses can double up as favours!
Our name tags will be attached to moustaches and red lips on sticks, for the kids crocheted mini cup cakes (no sticks) - they all serve as favours too.
It’s so great to find that one special person
you want to annoy for the rest of your life....

I thought that same as the two posts above. I thought the roses would double up. I would love that if I went to a wedding as its something really different. :)

if you dont want to give the wooden roses away as favours you could find a little poem or thank you line to print, laminate and stick to the back of the salt dough tags to double the place cards up as favours? Or you could write a small sentiment on card and thread the ribbon through that too to attach it to the dough ball.
Either of these would make lovely favours xx

Hey everyone! I hadnt bookmarked this one! Just realised it was the thread I started!! lol.
I still havent really decided to be honest. I like the idea of just having the roses as favours but my man isnt so keen - he wants to go the whisky for the blokes and something else for the women route.....
We are having a sweetie table now so I am thinking that we dont really need favours(got strippy black and white bags for everyone to put their sweeties in) but a wee thing inside me says "must buy cute favours!!" haha
