They are both quite different so I guess - do you want a mermaid that is fitted or an A-line that is more floaty? Which one do you feel most beautiful in? Would it be possible to book appts at the two shops literally one after another so you can try them both on at the same time and see how you feel? I'm guessing the 2nd one is a Maggie dress though & I do love her designs so think I would personally choose that one xx
I think the first one's more beautiful, more elegant personally x

Dress no. 1 with the sweetheart A line cut will help emphasise boobs (make boobs seem bigger) - useful if like me you are not blessed with big 'bangers'. Its smooth line will help balance out pear shapes (small boobs, big bottom). But I think it could be quite flattering generally. Simple, good design. I will be going for a similar design myself.
Dress no. 2 seems to be a fishtail, which will emphasise all your curves. I think this look is best pulled off by tall women. It is bolder than the first design and wouldn't suit everyone. But maybe it looks fab on you?

well im 5ft 4, small boobs, curvy, size 14 the 1st dress made me feel like a princess but i felt sexy in the 2nd i just duno what look to go for x

There you go - do you want to be a Princess or feel sexy? I guess if you can decide that you'll know which one to go for... what is your venue like? x

Just had a look at your venue it's gorgeous!!!!! Could go for either dress... maybe see if you can try them both on again this week and then hopefully you'll be able to make the decision knowing that you are happy with your choice. Has anyone else seen you in them? xx

There is a very similar one to the second on in pronuptia I loved it, makes your curves look so womenly and sexy!! The 1st one is a bit more 'older' looking its a difficult one

I'm biased on this towards the first one. Have a look through my pics to see how it looked on the day.

Wow lots of votes in both directions for these two! it is ultimately your decision (im for the 2nd one myself as i like the more 'sexy' as opposed to the 'safer/older' look like another lady said earlier.) But i would definitely consider my shape first and foremost and what suits that best - make sure you take a good honest friend/family member and try them both on again on the same day if possible, and ask if you can take pics of yourself in the dresses so you can see yourself in them both (i know some shops dont let you do this but some do in my experience.) are they a similar price/colour? hope you get it sorted by next week - good luck x
CommentAuthorbexter83
Two beautiful dresses, i do prefer the first one, but like the ladies said, it's up to you at the end of the day and how you feel x

*Brutally honest opinion coming up - sorry!!*
From what I can see of dress #2 it's one of those that will hug every last curve, lump and bump you've got. The mermaid design is intended for those of us fortunate enough to be tall, sleek and slender. Obviously I haven't seen you in it but from looking at the dress and looking at your picture and taking your stats into account I can't see the dress doing you justice on your wedding day or complimenting your figure. My stats are almost the same as yours (I'm about 2" taller than you though) and I tried something like that on - yes, beautiful, felt gorgeous in it but the general opinion was that I looked like a 'dumpy gnome' (I have a very honest family lol) so I opted out of it.
Personally I'd say, even though it's the 'safe' bet, dress #1 will do you infinitely more justice than dress #2 ever could. There's only you that can make the decision though but I'd get someone who is brutally honest to go to the shop with you when you re-try them. xxx
It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

Kerrylou has said exactly what I was going to say. Which will suit you better? Do you have a small waist and hips that go out gently? I had all sorts of ideas of what I wanted and thankfully my cousin who was making the dress said - you don't have a waist and you've only got short legs and I know which style will suit you.
CommentAuthorfee21
there lovely the first dress is gorgeous.. but it's what ever you feel more comfortable in hun xx
