This is me, and my hair (long and straight!)

    This is my dress

As some of you know, we're getting married in Vegas in September so it will be HOT (about 35C)! So I think I need to have my hair up. My hair doesn't hold curl that well, unless it's got a massive amount of product in, which, in theory, is fine. The problem is that we're having a blessing and reception back in London 2 weeks after we get back and I don't want my hair to be all mangled for that. So, my original style for Vegas was this one
    Up1.jpg
    Up1.jpg
    Up1front2.jpg

    Up1Side.jpg

But I'm worried about it not holding. So what do you ladies think about this one
    bun-jpg.jpeg
    bun-jpg.jpeg
    or this one
    wedding-bun-jpg.jpeg
    wedding-bun-jpg.jpeg

Do you think this style would go with my dress?

Then there is the London hair do - I want a half-up-half-down thing and have narrowed it down to two choices now. Option 1:
    Down2front.jpg
    Down2front.jpg
    Down2back.jpg

    or Option 2:

I love the low bun for Vegas - but you might want to have it higher up if it will be hot so that it doesn't stick to the back of your neck. Personally, I prefer the brown half up do for your London reception xx

the curly up do will work wonders. Because you have a round shaped face the height will elongate and make you look slim, the curls will give body and depth to the hair and having it gracefully pinned up with some curls trailing near your shoulders maybe will add to the look from the back so your hair looks amazing 360º

The bun will only really look good from the back unless you are going for a bun situated slightly higher up so that a veil can be pinned underneath it. The hair all down (red version) will not really be much different from the front but looks lovely from the back. The same with the brunette down curly do. However, what you have to remember is that these are the length of your hair as it is straight. If you curl your hair it will look shorter and so it won't be as long as the pictures and may not look how you pictured

Good luck choosing and if you still can't decide get your top 2 done in a hair trial at the hairdressers and see which you like better on yourself! xxx

    Lovelylainee - I'm not having a veil.
I'm not having a trial for London (the half up do's) as my hairdresser lives in Germany and will only be over the evening before. She knows my hair really well though, but there won't be time for a trial before the reception.
I'm having my Vegas trial the day before the wedding. Nothing like leaving it til the last minute, eh?!

But what about the problem with all the products needed to keep the curl in. I'm so worried it will wreck my hair and it won;t have time to recover before the London reception....!!!

I have voted the low bun for the Vegas part as its sleek and wont be affected by the heat as much as the curly up do which could easily become limp and lifeless in the heat.

As for the London part I have voted something else and this is a pic of it. Although I do like the brown hair half up half down look.

I know you said your hair is difficult to curl but it should hold this style. xx

Ooooh, June, I LOVE this one!!!!!! Yeah, although difficult to hold the curl, I'm not too worried about the amount of cr@p that has to go in it to hold it at the London do as after that, I won't be 'on display', so I think your suggestions may well be a go-er!

Cool, I think it would really set off your dress well too. Are you wearing anything in your hair at all? The reason I am asking is that you are welcome to use the diamonte hairpins I had for my wedding hairstyle and that could be a "something borrowed" thingy. xx
