Ty Katya that's a great idea about the music. It's a bit of a difficult one for the bring a food as most of the grooms side are travelling from Scotland, but i'm sure I'll have lots of help getting it ready and I've had plenty of practise over the years doing food for other people, least i can have what i want lol.

    Thankyou rachel

My h2b said to me there's only one thing that's important. He said as long as your there to say I do on the day that's all that matters". He said if i wore a bin liner and we got married in the middle of sainsbury's it would still be perfect as long as I was there and said i do, lol.

How sweet is that? lol Makes it all worth the stress.

Hi, my reception venue sounds a bit like yours, just a community hall, not very fancy so I'm in the same boat with dressing it. I would suggest use the organza rolls to drape on the ceiling, maybe have some pretty patterned bunting if it goes with your theme. Def have chair covers if you afford as it will just help make the room feel more weddingy.
That's so sweet of your h2b, I'm sure it will all turn out beautiful in the end :)

For a bar? have you looked at those mobile bars? I could be wrong but i think you pay them a small deposit to hold the date you want then they take their payment from all the drinks they sell? i know the ones around here sort all the legal bits out to so you dont have to worry about alcohol licence and that? x

Hall is ok, nothing exciting but that's not a problem, can always decorate it, main thing is it's clean and tidy and a good price x

This is where Bridesmaids come in right?! Buy the bits, give them details of what you want where in the room, then go home and carry on cooking! Hopefully you'll still have time for that manicure before bed! Good luck x

If you go on "Party Delights" website they have decorations and stuff and area really reasonable. I know its not the same but I bought wall decs and stuff when I had my 30th party in the house and they looked fab! You'll get plates, flowers, balloons and all sorts on there and they have sales too.
