I am shall spare you the story of why I am at this point, however the situation is this. I am now finding myself starting my planning again and only keeping 10% of my original wedding dreams.
The OMG - part is that I dont know what to do, bling, roses, butterflies, football..........
Looking at ideas on here has been helpful and at times confusing. Also have to admit that I have been in tears about it most of the evening. Totally lost!

Close your eyes. Breathe. It is your wedding day. Breathe. What do you see?
Now make a list xx

Maybe being a bit dramatic as I have my venue and church. But its the detail that I cant decide on.
I think secret country garden, but the dresses I love are bling and not secret country garden :-(
CommentAuthorsuzky123
the country garden idea sounds fab and elegant
cant wait to be Mrs Evans less than 3 weeks woooo
start weight 10st 1.5 lbs
weight now 8st 4.5 lbs
total loss to date: 24.5 lbs now need to maintain!
CommentAuthorTinsel
So you have the mix. Bling dresses with country chic flowers and table decorations. Or have your ceremony bling and your reception country (maybe your girls can remove the bling if it is on a brooch and tie a sash on for the reception).
Got any magazines you can look at?

Or vice versa, have a country ceremony and then a bling black tie reception?

Honest John and I are having Black tie ..... think hollywood glamour, dramatic black/ivory damask and bling!
CommentAuthorSpecialSundae
Hollywood glamour is my idea of heaven. I have a bit of a thing for Liz Taylor's style circa 1950.

Just got to find the right dress now. Have found a couture dress maker nearby whose work is fabulous so going to see her soon. HJ will be getting a new dinner suit, even though he already has 4!!!!! I am sure he thinks he is James Bond! ha ha
CommentAuthorSpecialSundae
But you need many dinner suits to go with the vintage Jag!
If I invite you guys to the wedding, would you bring the car? :-p
CommentAuthorJilly17
If we still have it of course! He has finished his baby and considering a new project. If he gets his own way he will get another Bentley. Even more competition for me! ha ha

My reception venue is fab (food is yummy) but it is UGLY and I mean ugly from outside. I could have picked any where I wanted in the whole wide world (England) rolling lush laws, water fountains, grand staircases, room for a pony, and I pick somewhere on my door step!! I will put the pics up of inside to show you the feel of it.
Think I am having a bridzilla moment or a break down :-(
I need to steal some of your ideas, I already stole one idea today! Oops
CommentAuthorSpecialSundae
Grant's seriously contemplating buying an old cab and doing it up for weddings. No one else is doing it in Fife. Not quite a jag, but I rather love real black cabs (even if they're ivory).
CommentAuthorStave
LOL - I was actually going to make a post called "Car-Share" and offer my services to any brides that needed it for the price of petrol as a favour!
CommentAuthorSpecialSundae
Ooh, what car do you have, Jae?
CommentAuthorJilly17
Ooooh what idea did you steal today Jae? I dont like to call it stealing, is more inspiration! ha ha ha
CommentAuthorSpecialSundae
Can it be stolen if the person who you stole it from was absolutely gleeful to share it?
CommentAuthorMrsMelodyWalker
It's not stealing! I expect they got the idea from someone else anyway lol sharing is caring ;-)

hahahahaha - I am having the rugrats (said in an affectionate fashion) in bug costumes! Ladybirds, bumble-bees, butterflies and caterpillar. We are calling them our "luv-bugs".
Each to thier own, but I cant stand mini-brides (unless they are your own children)
CommentAuthorTinsel
You can call it a homage...

.......... defo sharing as I will happily pass them on after I have finished with them as I can only see them being used for the ceremony, even though I want them to stay in them the whole time.

My little flower girl is actually going to be my flower fairy.. She is wearing a fairy costume, wings and all!

Jae - My discomfort with the mini-bride thing was why I ended up with the Fairy Bugs.
By the way, where are you getting a caterpillar... That could be a plan B if I can't find my dad's kilt suit (from childhood) for the page boy.
CommentAuthorMrsMelodyWalker
Oh gosh, I thought you meant you were going to put your dad in the caterpillar suit then!

Last night I googled until my eyes were all buged out. Its from the Hungry Caterpillar, Eric Carle. Have to admit, it might not match the cute little girl outfits but it was the best I could find, last night.
LOL - so did I!
CommentAuthorJilly17
someone has fab photos of flower girls in petal dresses on here and I love them but cant think who? hmmmm! It will drive me mad now!
CommentAuthorSpecialSundae
My dad as the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland would be rather appropriate! He's happiest when he has something to smoke.

I thought about a fairy too. I want the luv-bugs to float down the aisle like they were going from flower to flower. I
CommentAuthorSpecialSundae
I vaguely thought of giving them sweeties to give out to guests, rather than flower petals to toss, but then realised they'd eat them all themselves.
CommentAuthorMrsMelodyWalker
I do love that idea.
So, if you want the luv-bugs I think your secret country garden theme would be best. Use lot's of roses with diamonds and pearl's, soft pastel colours!

Can you imagine the bugs with all that sugar :-00000000 but eating sweets might keep them quiet.
Thats exactly what the OH said, but my venue and bling dress, wont go :-(
CommentAuthorSpecialSundae
Why not go with a slightly psychedelic garden idea. Lots of bright colours. A little bit Disney Alice in Wonderland?
CommentAuthorJilly17
where is your venue Jaesin? Need to see what it is like!!!!
CommentAuthorLozzleB87
jaesin - with a bling dress you would be the fairy princess who lives in the secret country garden so it would fit in.
sorry i'm a disney/fairytale geek lol x
CommentAuthorMrsMelodyWalker
I totally agree with Lozzle. You could create your own fairy tale!
