I am shall spare you the story of why I am at this point, however the situation is this. I am now finding myself starting my planning again and only keeping 10% of my original wedding dreams.

The OMG - part is that I dont know what to do, bling, roses, butterflies, football..........

Looking at ideas on here has been helpful and at times confusing. Also have to admit that I have been in tears about it most of the evening. Totally lost!

Maybe being a bit dramatic as I have my venue and church. But its the detail that I cant decide on.

I think secret country garden, but the dresses I love are bling and not secret country garden :-(

So you have the mix. Bling dresses with country chic flowers and table decorations. Or have your ceremony bling and your reception country (maybe your girls can remove the bling if it is on a brooch and tie a sash on for the reception).

Got any magazines you can look at?

Or vice versa, have a country ceremony and then a bling black tie reception?

Hollywood glamour is my idea of heaven. I have a bit of a thing for Liz Taylor's style circa 1950.

Just got to find the right dress now. Have found a couture dress maker nearby whose work is fabulous so going to see her soon. HJ will be getting a new dinner suit, even though he already has 4!!!!! I am sure he thinks he is James Bond! ha ha

If I invite you guys to the wedding, would you bring the car? :-p

My reception venue is fab (food is yummy) but it is UGLY and I mean ugly from outside. I could have picked any where I wanted in the whole wide world (England) rolling lush laws, water fountains, grand staircases, room for a pony, and I pick somewhere on my door step!! I will put the pics up of inside to show you the feel of it.

Think I am having a bridzilla moment or a break down :-(

I need to steal some of your ideas, I already stole one idea today! Oops

Grant's seriously contemplating buying an old cab and doing it up for weddings. No one else is doing it in Fife. Not quite a jag, but I rather love real black cabs (even if they're ivory).

hahahahaha - I am having the rugrats (said in an affectionate fashion) in bug costumes! Ladybirds, bumble-bees, butterflies and caterpillar. We are calling them our "luv-bugs".

Each to thier own, but I cant stand mini-brides (unless they are your own children)

.......... defo sharing as I will happily pass them on after I have finished with them as I can only see them being used for the ceremony, even though I want them to stay in them the whole time.

Jae - My discomfort with the mini-bride thing was why I ended up with the Fairy Bugs.

By the way, where are you getting a caterpillar... That could be a plan B if I can't find my dad's kilt suit (from childhood) for the page boy.

Last night I googled until my eyes were all buged out. Its from the Hungry Caterpillar, Eric Carle. Have to admit, it might not match the cute little girl outfits but it was the best I could find, last night.

    LOL - so did I!

I vaguely thought of giving them sweeties to give out to guests, rather than flower petals to toss, but then realised they'd eat them all themselves.

    I do love that idea.

So, if you want the luv-bugs I think your secret country garden theme would be best. Use lot's of roses with diamonds and pearl's, soft pastel colours!
