Welcome and congrats. Firstly set a date then start looking at venues as some get booked really early. You could pick a colour to go with.

    Welcome and congratulations!
I would recommend spending a long time searching for your venue! Don't limit yourselves and go and see places and that will give you a good idea of what you want - this may also help you to put your budget together as this is the biggest bit! I was originally going to go to the registry office but we have been able to have the wedding at the venue and still come in on budget - we wouldn't have been able to do this in a lot of places. If you have a special date you want - then you may need to get booked early at some venues as well.
I would also recommend sorting out what your priorities are for the wedding - as this will help massively with dividing up the budget - for example cars weren't that important to us so we were just going to book a mini bus - however because I have saved elsewhere we now have cars - this is just a bonus and they aren't mega posh but they will be decorated! Because this was our lowest priority we have managed to get a great last minute deal - we are off season and on a friday - so this worked out really well in the end as I left it till last to sort out! So sort all the things that are important to you early on!
    Best of luck
    xxx
