I want a plain wedding band as i am a nurse and cant wear dimonds for infection control reasons and i dont want to keep taking my band off as its something that should be worn 24/7, but my friends say that the dimonds look better and plain bands look cheap and nasty. wot is every1 else having?

i wanted matching rings and carl works in a pub where he often has to move and carry beer kegs, he actually bent his titanium engegement ring doin this. i like the diamond ones but wif his job i know he will lose the diamonds so we hav chosen plain white gold bands and they are not cheap and nasty looking. they frosted with a shiny edging. lovely xx

I'll probably have a plain, white gold band. The diamond on my engagement ring is gorgeous and I think it's bling enough for one finger!

Mine has diamonds, but that was only a decision I made once I started looking. Was very much wanting a traditional band, but then fell in love with the one I'm having. Like it has been said, it's personal choice, and plain in no way looks cheap.

Im a nurse too, but really really want one with diamonds in it!! but also dont want to take it off! so I think im gonna go for maybe one or diamonds and turn it round when the infection control nurse comes!! lol

I work with food so we are going for plain white gold with engraving on the inside, we just need to decide what :D X

plain as id be having to take mine off all of the time i dont want to have to do that. they don't look cheap but i guess its down to personal choice at the end of the day. xx

I'll be having a plain white gold band. My engagement ring is all sparkly so the wedding band doesn't need to be too flashy. Plus with my eczema I can't really wear a ring. I wore my engagement ring for about 2 hours about a month ago and I'm still trying to get my hand eczema back under control. H2B is having a plain silver band as he pulls apart vending machines and will probably ruin it within a week.xx

I have diamonds on mine-and I got it yesterday!!! YAY!

I got mine from turkey, was £500 for a full eternity ring with 1 carat of diamond and 18ct white gold and is stunning. Allcertificates with it and had it valued here and it was £3000, not bad me thinks xx

my engagement ring has alot of diamonds pic is on profile with my dress.. so we are going for white gold plain bands..

yeh i was thinking of doin that onewilson just turning it round when we have an inspection. but thanks girls i feel a bit better now. x

i'm having plain i don't want diamonds as my engagement ring already has one and i think too many would look funny personally, i really love the plain ones we are having matching white gold rings

Plain platinium for me

H2B is having a plain yellow gold ring (brushed effect) and I'm having a yellow gold patterned ring (no diamonds). The pics are on my profile. I think plain/patterned look like 'proper' wedding rings - especially if you have diamonds in your engagement ring, but it is down to personal choice. Don't listen to your friends - they've probably got different taste to you (and wouldn't life be boring if we all liked the same thing?? lol).

Im having a white gold band with a lovely pattern on it, 1 diamond on my finger is enough. You should go with the one you want and not listen to other people xx

We have plain bands but just for giggles, inside they are going to be engraved with "property of" and our names.....! :D
