Having decided our budget can not afford stretch to a videographer , but now have got a quote back from our preferred photographer which is way more than we were expecting £800 for whole day and we were more looking at £450 but have now fallen in love with Videography which is £575 & includes 3 copies of the final DVD. Guests arriving, the ceremony, the photo shoot, guests enjoying themselves, the speeches and the first dance. and which would capture everything in live action specially our planned first dance. And lots of people will have cameras and take pics, thinking of seeing how much just the ceremony, and some photos after would be. and then have a videographer.
Plus I have now seen this Marryoke, and love it, and want it! it makes a whole new special spin on the day , includes everyone and we are anything but normal. Will put a link on my wall to my Youtube playlist of different awesome Marryokes! so cool!

Oh its such a tough one. I have fell in love with vintage style videography, which starts at £1100. I just don't know if we can add something else this huge in :/
I think a good video is such a nice way to remember the day. Have you got any friends that do photography as a hobby? That way you might get a few good quality shots and get to have your video? Its such a difficult thing to rely on other taking photos. Or perhaps ask the videographer if they can include some printed stills of the day? That way you get both :)

well thing is even with photographer were not planning on getting any prints, we have loads of prints from shoots with our daughter etc, that are just sat gathering dust I prefer to have them on disk, get 2/3 printed and framed on display.

800 is a lot for photography with no album. ours was £1100 with a big album and 2 photographers (but it was friend of family so got 10% off so was £990). maybe you should search around a bit and look at other photographers or see if anyone in the family is good at taking photos? personally im having both videographer and photographer but i know that a lot of people that dont have the budget just go for photos. you can look at the photos whenever you want but how often are you going to watch the DVD? you may find that they might drop their prices the closer you get to the wedding or try and find out if they are going to any wedding fairs when they might have offers on? x
TBh im more likly to watch the video than look at pics appart from the few I choose to get printed to Canvas style , at a later date. When my auntie got married when I was a kid my uncle recorded it and gave everyone a copy, no edits back then. An I used to watch it all the time x
Photographer has come down to 700 from 750 an don't think that includes extra photographer and is still pushing prints I don't want at me. i got a quote off here ages ago for 450 including 2 photographers and from bridal prep to first dance. But was quoted a different day. Waiting to hear back from the guy who did our family shoot which we used for our save the dates! And still have my 5 prints in a draw not being looked at because I don't have enough money to get them framed to put on wall.
