Has anyone ever had really good vibes about a photographer & booked him after meeting him & not bothering meeting any others?
I feel this way about a particular photographer & feel reluctant to waste other people's time if I'm happy with what I've already seen. On the other hand however, I feel this may be slightly unwise...
What do you think? Has anyone ever been in this situation? Xx

I only saw one photographer. I spent a long time looking online and his was the only work I liked. He was also the most expensive of all the photographers I looked at, but that didn't change my mind. I arranged to meet him to see if I clicked with him as I worked with photographers through work and didn't get along with them, but as soon as I met him I knew I'd been right all along.
If only life could be one long tea break

I went with the first (and only) photographer I saw. I liked him, I liked his style, and his price was reasonable, so we booked him that evening after having a chat with h2b after the meeting (who felt the same way as me) xxx

I only saw one photographer but I went with him because he has a good reputation too. I'd say trust your instincts :)

I have got vibes just from initial contact from a lot of those I've emailed. The ones that are very business like I've knocked on the head, it's a wedding at the end of the day, not a business meeting! Some have fallen over themselves & one in particular seems so kind & not snooty like some...
I'm meeting him over the weekend so I just wanted opinions before I dive straight in!

I had met 2 before we found the guy we have booked. As soon as he came threw the door I knew we would book him, he was really chatty and a lovely person. His pictures were beautiful. x

We went through 8 photographers and chose the last 1, but she was my favourite from the beginning (but we couldn't organise a meeting for a few weeks so ended up seeing everyone else first!) However, I've read loads of wedding blogs where people had their heart set on one photographer, met them and booked them - I would do the same if it felt right. I definitely think you 'know' when it's right.

I only met one in person and that was the one we have gone for. others we liked we couldnt have as they already booked on that day, and others over the phone just didnt have that vibe.
As soon as we started conversing via email I just knew, and then when spoke with the secretary to arrange the date, she was so lovely, and when we walked in we sensed something, and as soon as we started talking it all fell into place.
I saw her again at a wedding fayre a few weeks later, so mom got to meet her, and even then we just knew, as soon as we walked out my mom was like oh she is so lovely!
With photographers, theyre going to be around you all day, taking photos of intimate moments & what not so you need to feel comfortable and right, and if you find that straight away then go for it!xx

We met our photographer at my cousin's wedding last year, his work is amazing and he is a really nice man. Have had a look at his website and emailed him. Just now need to meet up with him when our wedding is booked. Not too sure yet whether we are going to have him at our wedding abroad or just the reception when we get back. We will know once we meet up with him. The photographer is one thing i will spend our money on, however much they charge xx
