Wedding Forum - Photographers based in the South East...

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a photographer in the South East?? I live in Essex.

I've looked at quite a few websites, and found a couple I like but I know nothing beats the word of mouth!!

Mine is from Portsmouth he is only charging £170 for that we are getting:-

Pre-wedding photography session
CD-Rom of Pre-wedding photos.
Complete Ceremony coverage including:
Guests arriving, bride arriving, ceremony coverage*
After ceremony photography in the venue grounds.
Organised group photos.
Candid photography throughout the day.
Coverage of the reception.
Image processing / editing as required.
1 * CD-Rom or DVD-Rom of images
1 * DVD slideshow of final images
Shared website to show images from the day.

Plus a 30 x 20 poster print (he is throwing this in as he is a friend of a friend)

But the £170 is his standard price.. I know he does travel but I don't know how much he charges for it but I can post a link on your wall if you are interested in contacting him to find out what he will charge????

Suzi - that link you sent me...his website is under construction so I can't view the wedding piccies on there at the moment but the photos I can see look incredible! I honestly can't believe the price! Will give him an email and see how much extra he would charge for the travel.

Emma if I was you, I would give him a ring.... I don't think he is always to near to his computer. If he doesn't answer just leave him a message!

I know £170 was the basic package and he charges up to £400 - £500 I think, which includes you getting ready etc!

His pictures are amazing, I really like the candid style photo's that he takes (your unaware he is there which I think is brilliant)

I have to give him a call soon to sort out our pre wedding shoot, although I don't really understand the point of a pre wedding shoot but im paying for it so I might as well make the most of it lol.. Might have it around my birthday!

I live in Leigh on sea. Im a hairdresser and one of my clients does wedding photography with her dad and they charge £350. You get 70 prints (a5) and a disc to keep with all of the photos on.

Emma - I put a link on your wall earlier for someone local. I wouldn't say he's the cheapest, but it really depends on what you're looking for - the package we are having includes a second photopgrapher, a 600 photograph album, he's there from the getting ready in the morning right up until the first dance, Proof book of Photos (approx 500 images) and 5 16x12 (inches) Prints. We are paying £1500 for all that. Although it seems alot of money, we really love his style of photography and I feel there is quite a lot included.
When you are looking, whoever you choose - just watch for how much they charge for seperate albums (these can be really expensive) and also check whether you have the copyright or not.

hun i can give u the number of my photographer, his cost is £200 forf the whole day i think it is plus petrol costs. his photos are brilliant more candid ones really. his price is what it is as he his building a portfolio up at the mo xx

eeek all that money i'm just gunna invest in a really good digi camera and getmy mate to photograph it all i'll give him a list of pics that he has to take so i deffo get ome good ones and i get to keep the camera at the end of it :)
