Student photographers are an idea... lots of them are trying to get into the business but don't have experience... you can see examples of their work and they are very eager to please!

Mine is based in the North West so a bit out of your way I think, he's charging me £200. It's worth having a look at students in your area though!

The photographer I think we're going with does a half day package, and you get £100 off for being a ukbride member / 25% off for being a power user. Let me know if you want the link to his site? x

We are photographers, but it depends on where someone is, we charge £500 up until the reception and £100 an hour thereafter but we are in South Wales but would travel only that would bump up the price because we'd charge travel. Sometimes you may find a photographer who wants to get into weddings but you can't without experience which we have found which is why we'll stage a wedding to give examples of photographs even though we have a booking. If you have a look at some local people who don't have a wedding portfolio and approach them they should give you a good price. My friend is one of the best photographers I know and he recommended our starting price for us as it's what you'd expect from a good photographer starting in weddings. Cheaper than that and I'd want to see wedding images. The work is hard, harder than you may think and some people get it very wrong. If you are very clear with your photographer about what you want you should be happy with them. Have a look at some online photography magazines at the different styles. Good luck hon xxx
