hi was just wondering if anyone has done a photo book online and what company the best to use, thought its a good idea to keep all the memories of the day and also as gifts to parents on each side to remember the day, in my last wedding we had the normal photo album with photos that fell out all the time, so wanted something that will last

We have made 2 books from photo box of holiday pictures and made 1 of sil wedding pics from last year. Its really easy to do and they are great quality. You can get some really good deals if you keep an eye on discount websites and on their own website.

I made mine from Jessops & i am so happy with it. I got my professional photos back about 3-4 weeks after the wedding and it has taken me until now to pick the best ones and make the book (our deal with our photographer was digital rights to all photos taken with no album). It was totally worth the wait though, the photo quality & print quality is brilliant (& i am a perfectionist!). I think i had 86 or 88 pages on premium photo paper for about £65 which i thought was really reasonable.

Photo box are easy to use, and I like how you can customise the cover and spine too - printer pix I found a bit less user friendly to put together, we used deals from groupon for parent and grandparent albums but are getting the photographer to do our official one :-)

A lot of photobooks have templates to slot your photos into, but the 2 I use has also the option to have a blank page in which to put your own design, and I prefer doing mine like that, so I design each page individually in Photoshop, and load it onto a blank page.

This is a double page spread, thats why it looks so long. I do all mine as double pagers..its easier to design that way.

I've just done a couple using v!$tapr!nt. Their tool is great to use for designing pages. You get 24 pages and then add 2 pages at a time for 70p more or so - up to you how many pics you put on each page. Wont receive them for a week or so, fingers crossed the quality is good. B00 ts also do them, but not so user friendly to upload/design

This is what we are planning to do.
It seems this is soooooo much cheaper than getting a photographer to put an album together of just 30 pictures when you can have a lot more than that for less money by using a photobook.

I am using ******************* for my album. it has cardboard pages. a 76 page book with leather cover is costing me £100 (approx) its a US company so I have also paid £26 P/P, and fully expect I might have to pay tax/duty when it arrives, but I still think it will be a pretty cheap album. (tax/duty if charged, would be around £30)

Well I have done it, I have finished designing it and have ordered my wedding album from A*************** there was a 40% discount voucher, it strated off at $244, then knocked the 40% off, THEN converted it into english money.......worked out to £97.50 thats with P/P. thats for a leather-lux cover, 10 x 10 inch with 76 pages, I am happy to have ordered it at long last, and its a bonus it came in under £100, I had budgeted for spending £200......I cant wait to get it, and will take pics of it and show you here when it arrives. Have had an email from them and estimated delivery date is 22nd April.....nearly 4 weeks......but people have said they far exceed their delivery times......we shall see wont we?

Well today is 3 days after ordering the album, (28th March) and I just looked at the status and it has changed from
'pending' to 'printed'...... so exciting! well in 12 hours time was when I ordered it, so its really 2.5 days ..... so looking forward to recieving it. it also has a message on it thats its been 'corrected'.....this is because I ticked the colour correction box .......

As I seemed to get into the book designing groove, I also ordered my honeymoon album the next day, and emailed them to ask them to ship them together. I made an 8 x 8 album with 50 pages, and a photo finish cover. with my 40% off came to $45....converted into GBP.....around £28.. I am now eagerly awaiting them to be delivered. Have looked at their status and wedding album says... 'Book Ready', and honeymoon says 'Printed'. They dont work weekends so I am hoping they will ship them off today (Friday).....if they can get my honeymoon book status to 'Book Ready' status....

A few of you maybe are not aware that I was a member 2 years ago, and my photographer royally messed up my wedding, so we had to go back and do a re-shoot 2 months later, getting people all there on the same day was a nightmare! ......this is why getting my album is So important to me, because it is the culmination of over a years worth of editing.....trying to make use of some of her bad shots, guests photos, and then the re-shoot pictures.....to get it to look like a seamless wedding album......but as we did the re-shoot AFTER our honeymoon, not only did I have slightly different hair, we also both had a tan! So it was damn hard work, but I really am satisfied with what I designed......I just hope the book lives up to it.....
