I'm not sure what to do either. We are going to church this Sunday so might get some ideas while I'm there. If you need ribbon I know someone that sells it at a good price. I'm sure that if you did it outside of ebay she could do you a bit of a discount too. She is helping me out with all of my ribbon.

I was thinking about this aswell, how about little tea light holders, on ribbon around the top of the pew? You prob woudn't have to do it on every pew, maybe every other one or something.

I got 2 pew ends from ebay with our names on the ribbon they are really pretty. I've also got bows in purple and gold for the rest of the pews. I'm hoping the nice church lady is going to put neutral flowers in as we can't afford flowers for the church. xx

In our church we have some candle holders. I'm Not sure if we would be better to just decorate these and some around the arch and then leave the rest?

She does all sorts but mainly stocks the 10mm and 15mm satin and organza but can order the others sizes if you need them. She can get all the grosgrain, wired etc and yes she does personalised as well. She has the biggest colour range that I've seen around so plenty to choose from.

Jo your so luck your church has those lovely candle holders already there, I would defintely use those, and as you say just decorate those. I think personally that would be enough decorations, there is so much to already look at in your church, it is very ornate.

I know we are really lucky as the church is in the grounds of our venue. We are having the civil in the country house and then the blessing in the church afterwards. The church is so pretty without anything and the people there are lovely too. I just can't wait to get married now. I'm sat doing all the order of service at the moment and its starting to feel so real now.

If anyone wants more info then let me know. At the moment she is a little busy and has had to close the ebay shop as she has just lost her MIL and the FIL hasn't got long left either. She is really going through the mill but will be up and running again soon. At least if she hasn't got ebay fees to worry about she can pass some of the savings over.

We're having a civil ceremony in a hotel and are getting chair covers. we were thinking of getting them to tie the sash to the rear for all the chairs except the aisle seats, were they'd be tied facing the aisle. I'm hoping this will look nice. Not sure whether to get a little flower arrangement in there or not though.

Yh hun - if u want more than ribbon there are some fab pew ends on bay of e. We got them with the wedding date and our names on them. They make them with flowers to match ur own flowers and add something extra to the pews. They were a bargain too! However it all depends on the church and the actual pew ends! Some are more ornate than others. At our church they are quite plain x

We're not putting anything in our church, even to have ribbons on the pew ends would be charged for and it's just not cost effective for the sake of 1-1 1/2 hours x

I made some bows that are like that picture further up and they were really easy. I got a roll of organza thats about a foot wide, cut into strip then folded 2 loops to make it look like a bow, then tied some coloured ribbon round the middle to hold the bow and left this longer at the back to tie it to the chairs. They looked lovely and were really cheap and easy to make.
