My wedding venue has a red carpet that they roll out for the wedding ceremonys, but with out wedding being blue themed, been thinking about getting white petals to be heavely scattered all over the main aisle to hide the red carpet. but im having my DD as flower girl scattering petals too, but was thinking of getting her to scatter blue ones lightly as she goes down, in contrast?
Would that be to much or would it look stupid?

I'd just get her to scatter blue petals on the red carpet. Any more petals will be OTT.

Could you ask them not to put the red carpet out? What does it look like without?
We were lucky as our venue had a white roll out carpet and our theme was royal blue too. Saying that, we had red rose petals down the sides of the carpet, around the cake, on the tables and in the bouquets and it looked really striking with the two bold colours.

I think there will be petal overkill if you do that. Alternatively, asK them just not to roll it out? Though I can't imagine anyone paying the slightest bit of attention to the carpet tbh. Our friends had a red carpet out and I didn't think oooh that doesn't go with the theme. It's just....a carpet. However if it's drowned in petals, it would draw attention to it and look ridiculous.
I think blue and red contrast nicely anyway though

I don't think the red carpet is a problem. With lots of petals, when you walk down the aisle they'll be dislodged anyway. Our venue has a red carpet for the reception, and I'm quite happy about it.
