Just thought I would share! I was looking at personalised robes for getting ready the morning of the wedding but didn't want to spend £30 a robe.
So, I went on the bay and ordered the silk robes (£2.84 each and free postage!). I have white, the 4 x bridemaids have black and my mum is having purple.
I then ordered the iron on rhinestone transfers 'Bride' 'Bridemaid' and 'Mother of the Bride' which were £2 each and I'm going to do them myself.
The total was £30 which is the same price as one robe. Chuffed :D

My Transfers arrived today and they are lush! I will stick a pic on my albums. I will post a pic when the robes come too! Genuinely so excited this is the first thing I have actually bought! I have booked things but not actually purchased anything yet. I cant wait to start on the decorations now!

Personaly im not a big fan of things like that , that only apply for 1 day, like mugs that say 18th birthday etc, but I would nit be adverse to robe with Mrs Hands on etc so that it applys for ever

i think i got the same ones as you a few months back from the bay - something like £2.70 each. i got the purple ones for my BMs, MOB and MOG and i cant decide between white/black one for me - no idea which one will make the transfer stand out the most??
just waiting for my transfers to arrive next week and then i can get them finished. hope yours go well would be great to see how you get on with yours as ill be doing mine soon too xx

they are short robes and a little see through as they are a silky/satin material so you definitely need to wear something underneath. but for the price they are good enough! x

Love this idea!! I've just had a quick look and my colour theme is purple so they would look great, it says they are all one size tho and I've got bridesmaids that range from a size 6 to a 18 x

just popped a link on your wall roxanne. yes laura the are one size. i have got mine laura and they match my colour scheme perfect too. they arent very big though. i would say they would definitely fit a size 14 - although im not v good with sizes. you could always order one and see what u think. £2.67 each at the moment and take a few weeks to arrive x

I've ordered a white one (for me) and will check size! Really want these for my bridesmaids, they all range from a size 8-14 apart from my chief bridesmaid... I wonder if she will be insulted if I got her a different one to fit her? X

if you are worried about them being different sizes then get yourself one and get the others tshirts or vests? i have seen someone who got black vest tops from prmark (i think they are £2 or £2.50) and they looked great with the transfer on the front - this way you can get them all the correct size x

ive finished my robes last night :) just uploaded some pics into my album. they were really easy to do and i was quite surprised. the only thing i would say is that you need greaseproof paper underneath the silk as they are so thin that the transfer glue seeps through and glues the robe to your ironing board! but other than that really easy to do and they look great.
for those of you worried about size, i am a size 10 (pictured in white robe) and my mom is a 12 (pictured in purple robe) so they really arent that big x

Heyy girls im looking for satin robes too but nice rich cadbury purple, tried the bay and cant gt any the colour without being mega skimpy with lace and patterns, anyone know anywhere else? Thanks xxx
