    Hi All,

Myself and H2B had planned to make onion marmalade and lemon curd as favours and personalise mini jars.

We went to a wedding fair last month and found a company who do personalised preserves that worked out cheaper than doing it ourself. So we then decided having lemon curd and lime curd would fit more with our seaside theme than the onion marmalade.

However, on looking on their website they do not do lemon curd (or any curd in fact) as personalised jars.

I wonder whether anyone could recommend a company that do personalised curds for not too expensive? We need about 100 (50 of each). Or do you think it would be cheaper (and not too stressful) to do ourselves as originally planned?

    Many thanks in advance!
    Vikki

I'm sure if you G00gle you will find suppliers, however with things like that I think they are far nicer homemade and are very personable- shouldn't be too stressful, can make a big batch and it keeps too so can make in advance :-) if the 2 of you make it together you could put little handmade with love by bride and groom labels on :-)

We are doing little pots of jam too. Me and MIL made the first 50 pots of blackcurrant jelly last month and my dad is doing the other 50 with his plum jam. So there is still time to make them yourselves if you wanted to, and I kind of agree with MichelleC that something homemade by you will be so much more personal. But if you think you don' t have time then maybe try a FB search for people in your local area or maybe the local WI could help. X

I like cute little touches like that that make things a bit different- otherwise weddings all seem to be samey and generic

That's all. Think I will probably just stick with our original idea of making it ourselves but maybe give another curd a go rather than onion marmalade. Could do a jam but we are having jam with the cream teas for dessert and don't want guests thinking they have to open their favours for it!

I would say doing the jars will be a lot nice if it was homemade because it would be a nice personal touch. Also, it will be cheaper then buying them x
