has anyone got any ideas on how to add personal touches to their wedding. So far ive already compromised into having a football/chelsea fc themed wedding, got bunting, the dress and even the wedding cake topper, was thinking of doing a heart shaped collection of mine and my OH baby pix following up until we got together (my MOH & MIL job)

Everyone loved our glass rings. Some had names on them for the top table and others with the bride and groom names. If you have a lot coming they are pretty with just beads and a heart.

the diamante pins in the table centrepieces as my bouquet lost a few so i bought some and ended up with looooooooooooooads so i keep adding them to the buttonholes etc just to give it a sparkle. I love sparkle :-)

I had a butterfly theme, so spent hours cutting them out with a punch in various pinks and some Kath Kidson type paper, I scattered them on the tables instead of sparkles, as I wanted a country cottage feel, I had flowers in jam jars decorated with vintage lace :)

    we're doing a few:

postcards off printvista to put on each seat at the ceremony to say thanks for coming
dvd's made after as thank you's, with all songs played at the ceremony, and some from reception and various photo slideshows too, these will also have little business cards in saying thank you
dolly mixtures round the wedding cake
    the plimsoles
switching colours, brides in pink, bridesmaids in white
asking guests to wear pink or white (or both) where possible, though we wont insist on this
walking under an arch made from pink feather boa's with bubbles being blown instead of confetti
releasing chinese lanterns and having spraklers
    making own invitations and cake

i did want to get a batch of hankies made up with our inititals on, but theyre too pricey for our budget.

going to have I on one foot of my shoe and do on the other, at the back in pink gems

cupcake case favours with mini love heart sweet rolls int hem

and am sure we will think of more

I was struggling to find unique favours, then i had the idea of either seeds or bulbs of the flowers tht i'm going to have (i haven't decided yet what i'm having). that way, our guests can plant them and every year when they come back they'll remember our amazing day :) x

I have a low budget so I'm aiming to do a lot of the stuff myself, which is proving a bit stressful... I make jewellery and sell jewellery part time so I'm planning on making the centre pieces and the jewellery for the bridesmaids and myself.

My mum used to professionally make and decorate cakes, including wedding cakes, so she's offered to make mine and decorate it for me, so I get to design my own. I'm not sure what its going to look like though!

I want to personalise my dress too :)
