We recently went to look at the Edwardian Marquee in Bray wich is right by the river and has beautiful grounds for photos etc, I'm sure it'll look stunning when the sun is shining but we went to see it when it was raining and that's what stopped me booking it so far. The rain was pouring through the roof and all the drapes were covered in mildew and mould, the carpet was covered in puddles which hopefully means it will be replaced as it's a very horrid bright green!! There was trellising around the sides and quite a bit was broken, it looked like they'd had a few fights in there rather than a few weddings!!! They wanted £3000 for it but we've seen nicer venues for less but I fell in love with the location, the worst thing is they couldn't assure us that the marquee was going to be cleaned and fixed up which makes we worried that it'll be even worse by next year - I can't understand why they let it get in this state and feel sorry for brides who booked it ages ago when it was nice and don't know what its like now.
