    Hi girlies,

As you know, I'm having a peacock themed wedding, right the way through. I would like tall centre peices, but don't really want to buy/hire tall vases. Does anyone have any ideas how I could MAKE my own centre peices with long peacock feathers. I have thought of an idea but don't know if it would work. You know when you buy a twiggy ornament sort of thing for your front room or hall way, the ones that stand on their own without a vase, they are kind of twisted, then tied with ribbon or string. Do you think that would work with peacock feathers if they had a blunt end?

    Thankss xxx

Hmmm not sure that would work to be honest!

Have you thought of ostrich feathers instead and having them in peacock colours?
You can get some fantastic lilly vases from the bay to put them in at a good price (i got 10 black ones for £40 including p&p)

What do you recon about this...

You know those really tall cups you get in cinema and fair grounds, I have found clear ones on the internet, 10 for a £23. I could decorate them with a ribbon around the top, and fill the bottom with coloured stones to make it weigh down.

What do you think? Google Plastic Half Yard Ale for a picture of the cup :)

Sounds a tacky cheap option, but would save me a bit of money I think.xx

this will be easy to do hun, if you like it. just get the grey oasis for artificial flowers (from garden centre or bay of e) either get the teal or blue coloured feathers (bay of e have loads of feather sellers) for the main base of the ring, or even use actual foilage...have a nice walk in the woods and see whats about? any conifer type trees in ur gardens? then use the actual peacock feathers, say 6 to each ring and that should look gorgeous, place a hurricane lamp or a church candle in the middle.....?
