hey hun, I have PCOS and on metformin too. Getting married in a few months so we have started trying now. Just got my period so we didnt hit the jackpot in the first month!

I'm 34 though, so we dont have time or youth on our side. I have recently lost a stone, and plan on losing another. I am not sure how much the weight hampers getting pregnant, unless you are very overweight. i think weight more helps with the testosterone levels ie hairy bits.

when you are ready, you could ask the doctor for Clomid to help you ovulate. When we get back from honeymoon in December I am going to see my Doc, and getting loads of ovulation kits to see if I am actually ovulating. Getting a period about every 6 weeks at the mo, but before i went on the pill years ago it was 1 every 3 months.

Im 5'8 and weight 18 stone so Im deffo overweight and I reacon if I lose even about 4 stone that will help my cycle and get me ovulating again, sometimes I dont have periods for 11 wks at a time and get kiddy thinking im pregnant but nope never am, I have been pregnant b4 tho many yrs ago and lost it, so I know its my weight, My Gyna said he will put me on clomid once Ive lost 10% body weight, so hopefully once we get married next October 2012 I want to hopefully conceive few mths after :)

Hi Kimmy, yeah metofmrin is for diabaetes too but alos for PCOS, its to do with Inslulin and sugar levels and I have to much of the male hormone in my system so I dont ovulate and get little hairs on my chin(YUK) I know I get them waxed not that visible but I know there there xx

I'm just over 5 ft and 9 stone, soo although I've got podge to lose, I don't think losing weight will increase my chances of getting preggers unfortunately, and I rarely get periods :-(
