Thoughts go to those who have lost their lives in Paris overnight, innocent people out there enjoying themselves and it gets taken away from them so quickly.
Was at work when the first notification came through on my phone, it just got worse and worse as the night went on.

Awful new R.I.P to everyone who lost their lives in Paris. thoughts are with the families. Gatwick North terminal evacuated today apparently someone flew in with a live grenade and handgun! Flying home on Wednesday hoping won't have to be doing much of this flying back and forwards for much longer.

Mauritius. Bit nervous about flying at the moment with so many terrorist attacks this year but I won't let these vile creatures stop me from getting on with life. Hubby and I and my sister and so many of our friends work in central London, we just have to carry on and hope the authorities keep us all safe.

There's no other way to think IDL otherwise youd be a hermit for the rest of your life.
We were flying back from Iceland the same day as the Russian plane was brought down, when I realised that I thought sh*t, brings it a little more real. Thing is we usually have a hot holiday if we go away in October, and Sharm would have been on the list. :/
I hear Mauritius is beautiful, you'll have a great time.:)

This just reminds me of 7/7. Exactly a week earlier to the minute I was in exactly the same spot the bus bomb went off as I was there for training. Made me realise if they'd decided to attack a week earlier I'd not be here today.

I agree with steph , you cannot let these murderers win! If you start getting into that frame of mind then you will never do anything or go anywhere. Unfortunately these attacks can happen anywhere and there is very little we can do to stop them- we have to be vigilant and hope that the authorities are doing all they can to gain the right intelligence to stop anything happening here.
