There are a couple of discussions on this when I searched but pretty old ones and didn't really give me any ideas so had to start a new one as i'm REALLY struggling for ideas of what to get mine and H2Bs parents as thank you gifts.

We don't want to give the usual flowers as we don't have any flowers for the wedding anyway, so don't want to have to organise them seperately to get delivered and everything.

We will be giving both sets of parents a copy of our storybook album but we want something we can give them on the day. Neither of the dads really has any interests other than drinking lol so can't go with golf stuff or anything. If possible i'd like to get a present per couple if that makes sense!

What about a train ride on an old steam train, a night at a hotel, a pamper day, something like that? or is that a little too much what you wanted to pay?
    Hot air balloon ride? xx

Karlie that's defo more than i wanted to pay lol and i know the fathers especially would not be interested in doing anything like that :-D
I was thinking photoframe Trish, either with a phot in it already or with a nice note saying To Be Filled With A Wedding Photo lol. I know my mum would appreciate that but i don't think H2Bs would, we've given them a big framed photo of us before from a corporal's mess do and its sitting in a cupboard somewhere!

Is there something that they are interested in, hobbies etc that you can get them something like that? I know a lot of peeps get tankards, lighters, hip flasks.
Its hard isnt it, especially a joint one.
    I'll keep thinking xx

It is really hard lol, the dad's are both so boring, all they do is drink, they don't even like sports really lol! I might have to go with the tankards although they would probably never use them! x

My dad is the same, struggle to get bday and xmas presents. I am going to be at a loss with this one when the time come for me to sort it out.

What about a picture of you and your parents when you were little, put it on canvas or blow it up a little. Something to remind them that even what your married your still there little girl.

    hey

im in the same boat, really struggling for gifts. I am however going to present both mums with a small bunch of flowers but i want to give them something else too. My H2B only has his mum and i have a mum and dad. I have no clue in what to buy my dad as the things hes interested in (cricket and football) are two things i am totally not interested in and wouldnt know where to start without asking him first.

I did think of a lovely photoframe and have a note in to say 'to be filled' but i didnt haave any other ideas. My parents have started going to the theatre more and did think about a ticket to a show each as a thankyou. As they have paid for nearly everything i really want to spend around £30-£40 each. H2B mum, i am willing to spend about £25-£30 as she has paid for our honeymoon and other items too.

I will keep tabs on this thread for any further ideas!

My parents both suffer from hayfever, and his parents live in Cyprus and will be flying home two days after the wedding so flowers were a no go for us too!

For both sets of parents, we have bought an engraved photo frame and our photographer will print a picci while we're eating so they can be presented after the meal - we thought this would go down well as neither have a nice picture of us together, and they'll have to wait a couple of months for their albums! These will be about £25 with the picture.

For his mum and dad, we have bought engraved crystal wine glasses - about £30 delivered (they were on offer so not sure if they still are) - let me know if anyone wants the link posted on my wall.

For my mum and dad (moreso my mum) we have bought Swarovski bride and groom bears - £90 - but then they have paid for pretty much everything and have been incredibly supportive (not that his parents haven't as they are paying for our honeymoon) so I wanted to spoil my mum. :-)

    Hi all
I am in the same boat as been trawling through gift idea websites but still no luck. I am not sure on flowers as seems predictable and thats ne thing I am trying to avoid for the whole day. However I am stuck. We did think about paying for their rooms in the hotel after the reception but they booked it before we had chance. Looked into the activity days but its is difficult as stated before as soething that will suit the mothers will not suit the fathers and the idea of sending MIL with my mum would not work either so I am stuck.
I did consider the photo frame idea and although my parents would love and display it not sure about the ILs. Did consider getting the family crests done for them as that seems quite simple and I arranged that for my grandpartents golden anniversary and they loved it. As some family crests have motos etc that you can have translated and it lookes very nice in a frame. Just an idea.
Other than that I was thinking traveling vouchers so my ILs can go and visit their other son in Europe and my parents can put it towards their anniversary trip (we are getting married on thier 25th Anniversary and so the are planning a holiday after our wedding to celebrate) but seems very practical present and then the questions comes to how much is a good amount for vouchers? lol
Rachel I do like the idea of a photobook as think that would work for both and I had not considered that, Thank you.
If anyone finds any nice websites that can give other suggestions on these gifts and gifts for BM, Ushers etc I am all ears as I am slowly running out of time.
