it will just be for the legal side, right both your full names and details down, make sure that you are allowed to be married in church like youve never been married before, and that you are allowed to be married in this country ect. then they can send it of to get your banns and everything sorted. we have had 3 meetings with the vicar so far, first one we booked it and went through all our details, second he went through a few details, 3rd meeting we had been told that the vicar was no longer marrying us and we met the lady vicar who will be doing our service and went through more final details and sorted out what we are putting in to our order of service and next week we go back for another meeting to confim all the details, get our banns certificate or whatever she said and then next time we see her will be on the 27th sept for our rehersal in church and then the big day on 29th :) we were told that our banns were being read out the first 3 sundays in august and we had to attend at least one but so far we have been to both. i wouldnt start planning the rest of the wedding until you have been to do the paper work as sometimes a note in there diary can be lost and it wont be official until you have signed the paperwork x

Don't panic. He'll just need all the legal stuff so he knows you are both free to marry. Enjoy those sermons!
