Well i have three pairs of shoes (pics in my albun) and i love them all BUT h2b is only 1 inch taller than me and all three have 3.5inch heels so even with his 1 inch heel i will be 1.5 inches taller than him plus the extra height my veil will give me.Now h2b says he doesn't care if i am taller than him as he doesn't have an issue with his height and he knows he is taller than me really and i'm not bothered either,i'm usually taller than him when we go out anyway sometimes by quite a lot.Am i being selfish though, should i be wearing flats for his benefit and for the benefit of photos? x

I wouldn't worry, in the formal pics you can always bend at the knees slightly if you really want to not be taller in the pics?

my shoes are really high (at least 5 inches!!) and h2b is only an inch taller than me too. i didn't want to wear flats though. i am kinda worried we'll look ridiculous standing next to each other

    i wouldn't worry too much about a 1.5in difference hun :)

If you are worried about photo's just find some steps that he can stand on. Don't laugh! I'm 5 foot and my h2b is 6 foot 3" so we will be using stairs etc for photo's. What he doesn't know is that I have some serious heels hehehehehe.

just turn your knee sidewards or drop your hip and you will be roughly the same height, my brother's girlfriend has to do this when she is in heels as they are the same height

I think its more how you feel .... if you are confident being taller than him and he doesn't mind then stand tall in your dress and heels and enjoy it. However if you are worried about it or feel self-concious then wear flats. I am the same height as my H2B and wearing flats, only because i dont like being taller than him but not because of the photos or anything else as you wont notice it but i wont hold myself upright in heels as constantly trying to look shorter xxx

I'm sure noone will even notice! They'll be too busy looking at you dress, flowers etc to notice 1.5inch! If you thinks its a problem for pics you can bend down a bit as your dress will hide it! If H2B is fine with it then I wouldn't worry to much hun! :)

Some good ideas there ladies.I shall be turning my knees and dropping my hips all day...hope i don't do myself an injury!I hadn't thought of steps kastobe, there is definitely a step into the church. Not sure about the venue but if not i can stand him on a box lol! You have reassured me that it is ok,lets face it if i had been taller than him there wouldn't have been anything we could have done.
MrsV2013 we looked for some 'cuban heels' but they were all very expensive. xxxx

I've resigned myself to flats for my wedding as H2B is only slightly taller than me >.< It doesnt bother me normally, but my dress is floor-length anyway, so its not like anyones going to see my shoes!!

I blindfolded H2B and put my shoes on so I could see how tall I would be next to him, luckily hes stull slightly taller than me with them on, so he will still look taller on the photos.

I actually ended up getting another pair of shoes instead for this very same reason. Kev is only a few inches taller than me, and as i am having some height in my hairstyle aswell, i didnt want to tower above him. I therefore bought some even nicer shoes with only a small heel xx

Tom's a few inches taller than me, so on nights out I always end up taller than him lol, I don't think I want to be taller on the wedding day though, I might go for a 2 inch max heel, it's the photos I'm most concerned about. Plus I'm prone to falling over, and that would be just my luck to faceplant half way down the aisle

I dont suppose anyone would really notice, what with floor lengh frocks, but I always feel better in heels

I don't know why but i always feel more elegant, graceful, feminine and slimmer in heels even though i'm much comfier in flats. Still need to blindfold h2b with my heels on to check what we look like (sounds a bit kinky) but i am 95% sure i am going to stick with my heels regardless xxx

I would not be wearing anything but heels! Lol But I don't have this problem. What I did do was buy shoes with the correct heel height so I didn't have to have the hem on my dress altered

Kat thats what i have done too so if i was to wear flats i would have wasted the money i paid for my shoes plus have to pay for my hem to be altered and i'd have to buy some flats! xxx

In that case definitely go with the crouching down suggestions. You could also have a lot of the couple shots with you sitting down or with one of you further back in the picture. I have damaged the tendon in one of my big toes and have not been able to wear heels in about a month. I am however wearing them on sat! I will just drink enough champagne to not notice the pain lol
