Hi all, I've bought my wedding dress (well put a deposit down anyway) and it's oyster coloured (I think that's what it's called) kinda silvery. I'm struggling to think of a suitable bridesmaid dress colour. My two daughters will be bridesmaids 11 and 9 when i get married - one is brunette like me and the other is blonde! Any help greatly appreciated xx :-)

Hmmm, dont really know....would you like them to have similar colour or something totally different? xx

personally i would go for a darker colour so that you stand out in your dress as yours will be slightly darker than a white/ivory dress. however from a quick google search a pewter silver looks great (colour i kind of wished i had gone for now) and one images has a dusky rose pink next to it and looks really nice. really i think you can go with any colour. the only ones i would stay away from would be beige/gold/coffee colour as i think it would be too similar for your dresses. as youve gone for a different colour other than white/ivory what about having your BM's in ivory? would look lovely as long as you dont mind being the only one in white x

Oh I'd never really though of Ivory - might be an option. when i tried the dress on they brought out a couple of colours of BM dress (mauve, pink and sage green - all pastels) now i'm not a big lover of pastels but the colours did really go with the dress ... mmm decisions. I might even toy with the idea of having them in different colours but not sure?
I'm hoping to go with a whimsical theme for my wedding ya' know, petals, hearts, crystals etc. so that makes it even more difficult to decide on a colour eek! Well it just gives me an excuse to go and try my wedding dress on again and go with my girls so they can try some dresses on too ... WHOOP! ;-D

If it's silvery blue might work well.

Definitely a pastel colour or a dark colour, one extreme to the other lol, go look at your dress again and take bright bridesmaid dresses to the dress to see what goes best

To be honest, I think that most colours will work. If you're looking for a whimsical style, then potentially the sort of colours you would find in Mother of Pearl would work lovely, like greens and purples etc. Especially if you are considering different coloured dresses for the BMs.
