Has anyone got any tips for making our own wedding invitations and other stationary? We love the idea of them being individual to us and something we can do together, but dont know where to start as its not something we have done before.

Have a look around at other peoples invites/websites etc to see if you can grab ideas. Mine are a mixture between 3 different type of invite Ive seen around

Get a few different things together and make samples. Make sure you're 100% sure you like them, otherwise you will be like me and end up spending a load more money making them all over again. Lol.

Hobby Craft and The Range have looooooads of stickers/ribbons/embellishments/stamps etc to help you on your way.

We are doing our own but had the problem of findinng somewhere that has matching card stock, paper in the colours we wanted in various sizes Ie A2 for table plan, A3 and A4 to cut into the sizes we need, card to make favour boxes and pocket fold wallets. Then I found a site that does the blank pocket fold blanks so you can put on what you want, but the best part is they have a huge range of colours, an co ordinating papers and card in A2, A3 and A4 and also d favours in the the same colours. We are having burgundy pocket folds, with ivory and burgundy inserts. You can choose all your colours to match and they have everything you will need. I can post the link on my wall if you are interested? Oh also mad about cards do great embellishments/ribbons etc.... for invites. xx

i am making mine with the help of my mum as we are both very crafty and arty. we are getting our card and paper from a local papermill as this is a lot cheaper than buying it from a shop etc. also look online for bits and peices that you want to put on as bay of e have great bargains on items that you would spend a lot of money on in the shops. xx
