    Hi guys

Just after some advice on which T-Shirt you prefer? (having a Scientist theme)

Whichever I go for will be teamed with a white blazer (which hopefully will look like a labcoat) and either a black and/or white tennis skirt

Why don't you get an actual lab coat? And is there a reason behind the tennis skirt?

Don't want to get an actual lab coat because they can be quite pricey for something I will wear once, would see if I could borrow one from school but they're also a bit gross from there... also want it to look nice for a night out and be comfortable for dancing in and doing whatever, whereas an actual lab-coat I can see getting annoying. The tennis skirt is just because originally I was planning on wearing a black dress with the white jacket and lanyard with genetic scientist or something in the tag, however one of my bridesmaids mentioned the T-Shirts as she was buying one for her outfit and I thought they were a better idea then just a plain dress and she also suggested I didn't buy a lanyard as wouldn't need one (but wouldn't say any-more). So it doesn't have to be a tennis skirt but it's just what I have in my head at the moment (I also have a black and white one already which I'm hoping I can use, again saving the pennies).

Also want to look science... not necessarily geek, as geek is over done a bit and there is a big difference between scientist and geek as well.

Fair enough, there isn't really a scientist "look" though so it may not be very apparent what you were trying to pull off so going down the geek route might make more sense.

But that's just my opinion, as a scientist.

I have what I'm going for in my head and it will make sense... obviously don't know what everyone else is wearing either-but assuming people will have similar idea's

I'm also a scientist, as is my partner... which is a reason I don't want to go down the geek route.

Oh cool. Well you can take inspiration from your own experiences then.
    Are you in research?

    No-both in education... I'm a physicist

His masters was by research in organic chemistry though, which is more where the theme is coming from... I'm not 100% what is being planned for the hen, just having little bits leaked to me. But him being a chemist is where the idea came from. As far as I have been told the theme is for the whole night though and not just the dress, but I have no idea what that means... I just know that my MOH has messaged him with some questions and he says that whatever she is planning sounds good and well put together.

    You in research yourself?

    Do you teach physics?

Have you thought about going down the Bernadette route?

Yeh I'm in clinical now, phase 1b-2a.
H2b has a PhD in organic chem and works as a research chemist. The industry is a pretty small world so was wondering if we had come accross you before hence my questions :)

Hadn't thought of it, not a big bang theory fan to be honest. Hen isn't until May so I have time to think things through.

Wow-strange that they're both organic chem, mine wanted to get back into the research field a couple of years back, but think he's happy in teaching again now. Head of Chem where he is now but looking at going for head of subject soon, it's not as exciting as actually working in the field, but someone's got to teach ;)

I'm not yet, working as support at the moment, but will eventually teach-either physics or maths depending on what jobs are around when I'm ready.
