I know it's a long way off at the moment, but I couldn't sleep last night and I started wondering what on earth I'm going to wear for my brothers wedding !! It's in February so my usual wedding outfit of a maxi dress and wedges will just not work.. I've tried g00gling it, but the stupid advice sites just have knee high dresses or maxi dresses on with those chunky ankle boots which personally I don't like with dresses.. Plus, I would never wear a knee high dress in winter ! I feel the cold faaar too much..
I was thinking a trouser suit, but a black one will just be too funerally I feel.. HELP !

    Thanks
    xxx

A trouser suit would be nice, what about a light beige or pale pink one, with a chunky waist belt to accessorize it? Kitten heels or flats would go nicely.

Or a midi dress, or just above the knee, with tights/stockings, kitten heels/flats and a fitted blazer, and then a nice hair piece?

Plenty of time! Keep nosying around, you have the advantage of the after Christmas sales to work with :)

If you wanna go for a trouser suit, you could have a bold coloured or patterned top underneath it to make it look less funeraly, and add some bright accessories too?

If you want a dress, a thick pair of tights will help keep you warm x

You can still wear your go to outfit, just add tights/leggings, a cardigan or wrap and you'll be set and toasty warm :)

Here's an image for inspiration (everything I could find was casual but it gives an idea of what can be done)

I forgot about tights tbh as I try and avoid them at all times haha, but may need to give in this once !! I found a really gorgeous jumpsuit on g00gle images earlier but can't flipping find it now !! It was black, flared legs, 3/4 arms, scoop neck from shoulder to shoulder and she had a light greyish waistcoat on with it.. Looked really nice and could easily wear a blazer over that too.. Along with my purple suede boots I think I'd love that.... If I could find it :-/ xxx

That sounds lovely! Re tights, you could wear nude ones if you dont want it to be too obvious your wearing them x

I meant round neck I think.. It was a combination of these two:

    Legs like this one
    Legs like this one
Round neck and sleeves like this but black, and not as clingy material

I don't mind looking like I'm wearing them, it's how flipping long the body bit is... I can pull that bit up over my bras in nearly every pair of tights I own, even the petite ones :-( I try and wear leggings instead as much as I can lol..

Grrr, it's like the picture had been deleted off g00gle !! xxx

What about a chunky knitwear dress? With fashion tights, can get nice coloured ones around, and a decent pair of flats or ankle boots?

Something like this perhaps, imagine with a nice hair piece/fascinator ect:

    dress.

Yerp, or even coloured tights and nice black ballet pumps, silver belt around the waist and a big hair piece, it's one of those things where loads can wear it and it suits all :) xx

Just relax; you still have plenty of time to decide what you want to wear and as someone said; there is always the Christmas sales and new year sales to look into :)

    Hi Girls,

I have the same problem but my brothers is the end of March, so maybe slightly warmer, but has my wedding is in the same year I'm trying to think about things sooner rather than later.... Just not too sure whether to dress for winter or spring xx

Lala, I had an op on my hip, and just something to bear in mind when picking your outfit up to 8 Weeks after my op I had to wear surgical socks.... I did have an engagement party and opted for maxi with flats so you didn't see those sexy white socks... Good Luck with all xx
