I wanted to put all my ideas down in one place and also thought i could share my ideas just incase they are similar to any other bride to be's plans!
We are getting married at 4pm at our local town hall - it's so beautiful inside and where Emmerdale do a lot of filming for their court scenes lol, i get so excited when it's on TV! 70 guests are attending the short 30 min ceremony, then we are hoping to hire a vintage bus to transport our guests to the venue which is a masonic hall about 10 mins away from the ceremony.
On the way to the venue we'll stop for quick photos at our local park which is a really special place to us.
On arrival to the venue we want some small nibbles served as guests enjoy drinks and while more photos are taken (God, the thought of this scares me so much, I do NOT like posing and neither does my H2B!

Colour theme: Purple tones, ivory. Decor: lace, ribbon and pearls.
Inside the main room we'll have:
    Near the entrance
    - distressed ladder adorned with lace, ivy and gypsophilia with all our favours on - little pots wrapped in cellophane with compost discs in and a seed for an as-yet undecided plant.
-distressed picnic table with sweets, loads of assorted jars etc
-somewhere near to the dancefloor, but not TOO near we are having a photo wall that we are making by ourselves - eek! I fell in love with the idea since photobooths are soo expensive and wouldnt fit with our theme anyway!!

    Main concerns atm:
Our caterers we have to have for our reception seem a bit disinterested in our ideas, we think it could be because we are only getting to the venue at around 5.15 and not wanting a big posh sit down meal.
My dress - i'm a uk size 16/18 and trying to lose weight as i hate being deemed a plus size bride!!

Has anyone else had/been to or planning a similar style wedding? x

I'm not having a similar wedding but were getting married on the same day! Very exciting

Lots of people miss out a big meal now and go straight onto a buffet, should be fine!

Also, my FMIL goes to slimming world and has lost nearly 4 stone not much more than a year! Might be worth a look into x

Were having a very similar themed wedding. Lots of bunting and lace and pastel colours with hay bale seating outside and it will also be in April.

I think because you're arriving so late it would be a squeeze to have a sit down meal, speeches and then everyone to enjoy dancing in the evening. Can you change the caterers or do they come with the venue. Our ceremony is a 2pm and were serving a hog roast and small buffet at 5:30. Xx
