Wasn't going to do order of the day as not having a church wedding but thought I'd do one anyway :)

So I went for one of these instead of a bouquet charm: I tried making them but didn't work out. I'm going to replace the keyring with a lobster clip so I can clip it onto my bouquet. It's an old picture of when my granddad and grandma got married (Both no longer with me; my grandma passed from cancer when I was one and my granddad passed away 2 years ago) so I wanted something of them there with me on the day; the money my granddad left me paid for the dress so he will be there that way but going to try and not think about that on the day or I'll cry. So I thought three generations of Dewar/Polding woman so I thought I'd do their wedding pic as a pic of my granddad on his own would have made me cry :(

They even light up though not bothered about that so just a bonus :)

That is Lovely, I want something like that to put a picture of my Gran in.

- Print off Table name Tickets

- Await emails back from suppliers confirming set up times and then update day plan

- Pay the last half for Hair and Make up (Day before when Manicure and Pedicure take place)

- Pay for final half of the cake (Done when we go to see the cake- hopefully the weekend before rather then the day before as she said)

- Make slideshow of engagement photos for DJ to play at the wedding

I'm so angry and upset.

We had invited the Best man' daughter to the wedding; we were originally going to have two flower girls and a page boy but his ex was being really fussy saying the daughter could come and then she couldn't so in the end we just said sod it and that she can just be a normal guest; long story short; we were told she was definitely coming then the mum and her moved to Rugby about 4 weeks ago but this was fine as she was still ok to come; now we have been told the school won't let her go when it is really because the ex wife had a fall out with her husband so is not letting the daughter come to get back at the best man...so we are now one guest down since his ex wife is a *Insert bad word here*.

So we were upset about her not coming and no doubt the daughter is too as she was really looking forward to it but can't do anything about.

Now today we got told on the book of face of all places that his other son (our page boy) is no longer coming as his school won't let him despite them apparently getting a written confirmation (which the best man and his wife now deny even though we have seen it). We would not have known that our page boy wasn't coming if I hadn't asked about the other daughter on book of face; would have been nice to get a phone call to tell us as surely the school couldn't have turned round now and changed their mind with just over a week to go...Though according to Best man's wife (Page boy's mum); they never had confirmation in the first place and she is not paying a fine...

I've cried twice over this as his family are a massive pain; I've already paid for the kids meals and their gifts so that leaves me about £70 out of pocket :(

Thanks Emma; We both wish we had chosen his other brother to be best man but with 8 days to go; can't change that now :(

Hi ladies; yeah had a great Hen night :D

Oooo just heard back from the Pianist and he managed to learn a song from for each of our tables (West end musicals) :D

Photographer also phoned up and didn't realise I had paid for extended attendance...so just had to send proof.

Well Ladies; what can I say? I've finally married my man :D

My mum and my bridesmaid came into our room the night before and we just relaxed and drank champagne before they left at just after 11pm; had a shower and then tried to go to sleep but I couldn't - I wasn't even nervous at this point!

I got up at 7:30pm and put my dressing gown on to wait for the hair/make up lady who was coming at 9am while my mum and the girls nipped down and added the final touches. The hotel had put the groom 2 doors down from me!!! (so couldn't leave in case we bumped into each other). The signal in the hotel wasn't great (always been the same) so when the hair/make up lady phoned me to say she was lost...I was pacing the room to try and keep signal; she managed to get to our room at 9:12am so not too late and got to work doing my sister first. She then did my hair then my bridemaids and then did my make up last which was just as well as it meant the photographer could get lots of shots of us all getting ready.

The room we were put in didn't have anywhere to hang my dress (cue everyone panicking) so we had to move the coffee tray off the table and laid my dress down which fortunately didn't crease; the photographer hung it up on the mirror to get the 'dress hung up' shot.

My sister put on my fake lashes which I've never worn before and they really opened my eyes. My make up was different to the trial but I loved it more.

Then it came to putting the dresses on; lace up backs are a headache :P When I finally got into my dress; the photographer has my dad brought in and I first he was going to burst into tears that nearly set me off. It was lovely.
The flower girl was then sent up and we were ready to go. The registrar popped in for two minutes then we were off. I managed to eat 2x small croissants before the nerves hit me then I feel sick and so nervous. I thought I was going to pass out with my heart beating so fast as I waited by the doors with my father to walk up the aisle.

My now husband was waiting for me at the end and was in tears; I somehow managed to put on a professional answering of the vows while he blubbed through them and kept whispering to me that I looked amazing.

We then went outside for photos with the sun shining (we were so lucky with the weather as it was beautiful) and we did our dove release which was beautiful even if Jay's one did want to escape :P

We then did some group and family shots before I had to nip off as I really needed the loo (I think it was the nerves :P); Peeing in big dress is very difficult and never has my mum; bridesmaid and maid of honour been to the toilet with me ;P

We then went back inside and had our chocolate dipped strawberries which were lush and went down a storm with our buck's fizz before heading out for more photos before me and Jay went off on our own with the photographer. We then mingled some more before the wedding breakfast at 3pm.

The service was prompt and the staff were lovely and very organised. The leak and potato soup was so nice which was followed by roast chicken wrapped in bacon with potatoes; veg e.t.c and then New York style cheese cake. The manager even acted as a toast master even though he didn't need to.

The speeches were lovely even if the groom deleted his off his phone and forgot the paper copy so he winged it :P
We then cut the cake :)

We gave out the gifts and tried to go around each table; I definitely think one of the hardest parts of the wedding day is making sure you get to everyone and don' spend too much time with just one table.

We went outside and took some more photos; the photographer ate with the guests which was nice as he was planning on eating alone. Our Pianist was amazing; such a nice man and went above and beyond for us despite us winning the competition so we only paid £99 extra for him to do the wedding breakfast instead of £420 or something like that. He even learnt a song or two from each table (Theatre names) which he didn't charge us extra for :D

We all had a drink outside while the photobooth and dj got set up for the evening and the staff changed the room around.
The DJ was great and everyone enjoyed karaoke! The photobooth was in constant use and the book we got after with all the snaps was so funny and nice to look through.

We stayed till around half 12 then turned in for night as we were knackered and everything was done for the night.

It was an amazing day and everyone made it lovely. The only people that let us down were two guests who didn't turn up...so we lost money on their meals but the page boy made the wedding breakfast so wasn't all bad. The venue decoration company let us down a bit; the chair covers; centre pieces e.t.c were lovely but they forgot our bay trees and table runners along with no leaving the key for the post box which we had to take up with us as didn't want to leave it unattended.

This morning; we had to tip it upside down to get the cards out which we did so we are awaiting an email back to hear from them about our security deposit and hopefully a refund for the things they didn't provide.

Other then that; it was a wonderful day!

Can't wait for the official photos but here are a few that were taken on the day by us and our guests :)
