oooo they sound interesting.... I wouldnt have a clue where to start designing those.... far too creative for me... i can only do simple haha! what gsm have you chosen? Ours was 300 and it defo wouldnt go through.... well it would but you had to force it and it smudged.

i have designed all the software myself for them, I had to go with 150 gsm as that is the thickest that would go through my printer. i have done a sample which I have posted below but it still needs some work and this sample is a little dirty now from carrying it around with me to different places:- (please excuse the dirt on this H2B splashed his coffee on it)

I think they look great. The only thing I would do is maybe change the categories (personal opinion only and yours is prob better than mine anyways) e.g.
General details, accomodation/local taxi menu and drink preference (id keep these two together) DJ song request and gift list rsvp (separate so they can pull this out CARFEFULLY and post it back to you)

you also want to make it clear straight away when they open it if it is a wedding invite or an evening invite instead of people having to look in the details section.

i like the pic I just posted as its simple but all the info is there. Will require less card if you can group the categories appropriately e.g. fit as much as you can in additional information and on the rsvp you could give them a tick box for their menu and drinks choice so you dont have several pieces of paper getting posted back, it would all be on one pieces as their rsvp. I dont know im shattered and not thinking straight at all haha!

thanks girls, just logged on for the day and it was nice to see your lovelly comments :) Just been looking at a friends possible save the dates..... it turns out they are copying ours haha... they are just going to put on a pic of their venue and their info on the front (ours had a pic of our venue and then turn over for all the details and save the date details) so sounds like they were a good idea. And they only cost us 50p as our venue just sold them to us (well technically it forgot to charge us for them so shhhhhhh). I need a new project now other than stationary but I dont have much left other than music to sort

This weekend I hope to be picking my invites up from the lady that is making them.....cant wait to get them all in the post.....(before the stamp prices go up!) Although she has been doing it years, she has never been asked to make a pocket-fold invitation before, and when she showed me the sample last week she said she had really enjoyed doing something different, AND that her sons girlfriend who gets married next year, wants the same style after seeing ours. In the invitation she has made a 'guest information' insert.....telling them all about confetti/photography and hotel phone numbers. On another insert is the directions to the registry office, then to the venue. then she made 2 little RSVP cards......one saying Yes and one saying No.....(I wondered why she made 2 rather than 1 with a yes/no box.....she said so that they could keep one of them) Then there is the invitation itself.
They cost £4 each, and I have no idea how much they would have cost if I had made them, but I never could have made them so nice so I am happy to pay her £4 each for them. (and I only need 10 so it wont break the bank).....

Not yet, she said they will be ready this weekend, (and as theres only 10 of them I dont think she will be long doing them) when she showed me the sample I wanted to bring it home to show H2B and you guys, but she wanted to keep it so that she could get the rest of them just right. As soon as I get them I will post them on here.....(I might go and buy the stamps today though, as I am putting stamps on the RSVPs aswell)

well I hadnt thought about it until now, but I think I will ask her to make my thank you cards. I already have my place cards....they are just plain Ivory cards with the guests names printed on them and a diamante gem, and the table menus and table plan are the same style, I am making them....they are also different to the invitations. If I had thought about it longer then i would have had everything to match, but I am sure everything will look OK anyway. The things that will appear together.....ie the menus and table plan, they will match.

that makes sense... you only really need to table bits and bobs to match, they dont have to match the invites as noone will be bringing their invite to the wedding anyways. (even tho a few of our guests think they need to bring theirs to be allowed in mwahahaha)
