    I thought I'd try making one of these as I've been trying not to discuss so many little details with our friends and family especially my dress so had to let it all out haha

    So venue first...we looked at lots of venues online but only went to view one and fell in love, Airth Castle :)

    The ceremony is in the castle and if we get nice weather the champagne reception will be outside on the lawn. If the weather isn't so good there is a beautiful bar behind the ceremony room with a wood burning fire and cushioned chairs. The bar will be exclusively ours at this time.

    After the ceremony we will be piped down the driveway/pathway to the other building which is slightly newer but still fits in the castle where the reception will be held.

    In the reception suite we have opted to go for gold candelabras for centrepieces which the castle provides.

    Our colour scheme is red coincidently which we decided before picking the venue as my H2B will be wearing the Royal Stewart tartan.

    This isn't our ceremony room but these are the seat covers we have booked. The last ones on either side of the aisle with have the bows tied sideways so they are showing in the aisle and we are thinking about having thistles in them.

    We have also hired a backdrop of lights for the top table, these were set up when we went to the open day for the venue and they made the room :) Its also included that the cake table will be included to match.

    The backdrop of lights isn't in any of the pictures in the venues brochure so we haven't told any of our fiends and family so they will get the full effect when they see them.

    My H2B's Kilt, we havent bought this yet. The best man, ushers, father of the groom and our wee nephew who is our page boy will be wearing the same kilts except theirs wont have the plaid (sash on the shoulder).

    Your venue is gorgeous, we were the same with our venue, we looked at loads online but when we went to visit ours we knew no others would top it :)

    we have also booked our band and photographer. The photographer took the pictures for the castles brochure so very happy with our decision :) It's a man and his wife who do it together. He said they get really good pictures of walking down the aisle as one of them will be at one end and one at the other. There is a mirror at the front of the aisle and the photographer said he can see the grooms face and knows exactly when he's going to turn round so he can catch him crying like a little girl haha

    Thanks everyone :) The shop I got my dress from did an accessories night last week (any excuse to try my dress on again :p) and I got my shoes and tiara, didnt expect to choose my shoes so fast, they were the first pair I tried on. I didnt take any pictures and can't find any pictures online :(

    On another we found a bridesmaid dress that everyone likes and it has similar detail to dress. We need to make an appointment to go back for the bridesmaids to try them on. Here are some pictures from the website. Again the pictures don't do any justice.
