We are going to be famous Lol. Our photographer is moving into a new range of printed save the dates involving photos and using our pictures and save the dates as his examples.
So excited but will be splashed all over FB and Twitter and his website. I wouldnt let him post anything out though until i had sent my save the dates out in the post and now everyone has recieved them he can go ahead.
Any one else had any of their weddings things/pictures used as examples by the supplier?

Apparently our videographer uses part of our ceremony - as friends of Dan's stepdad found out when they went to see the company and saw Roger (the stepdad) up on the big screen doing his personalised reading!

Not me personally, but my brother and his wife one of their pictures was used by their photographer to advertise in a national wedding glossy wedding magazine in Ireland. A girl she worked with was getting married and she bought the mag for inspiration and spotted it. It was such a lovely surprise as they had no idea he had used their picture :-)

Not me personally, 2 friends of mine have got there photographer free though. One went on there advertisement posters and cards so she got hers free and the other friend gots hers free because he was starting out and needed a portfolio!

wooo thats exciting i havent had anything of mine done (not married yet though so that could be why) a few of my friends are on the council website to advertise the registrar also one of my BM was at a wedding fair i went to a few months ago half naked advertising boudoir shoots she was shocked when i told her xx

I don't think they need permission do they cos my brother wasn't asked if his photo could go into a national magazine. Ok they were fully clothed but I don't think a photographer is breaking any laws by doing stuff like that but I could be wrong. Btw I would be flattered if a photographer stuck up a bedroom shoot of me half naked lol!

No i think it depends on your agreement between you and the photographer.... our photographer has full exclusive access to use our pictures for advertising but not pictures with children in as will need permission from their parents.

Yes. Our photographer in the UK was a friend of mine from Uni. He didn't even charge us...not even for his travel! He did, however, ask us if we would mind him using some of our photographs for his class, as he is a photography teacher in a 6th form college. Of course we agreed. He also edited our main Vegas photo and took out all the cables. He said the kids found it really interesting how you can cut and splice other bits of the same photo and match them in to replace other parts. I was really happy to hear that other people were benefiting from our pictures :)

unless you buy the copyright from your photographer they have the right to us any photo for anything.
