Been to a wedding fayre today which was great.

Got some good idea's and saw people who we'd already booked.

Our camper-vans were there which was great to see them. My dress lady was there as well, lovely to see her (she had mine on display lol) my fiancé said he liked all her dresses and they were nicer then the others. She said my dress should come into the shop this month, so that's all very exciting :D


We're also now looking at an ice-cream cart instead of canape's at the drinks reception and having a magician between the wedding breakfast and the evening do starting. Just waiting to hear if people are free on our date.

Our glasses arrived today, they are even more gorgeous in real life. We both love them. Can't wait to see people's faces when they see them :)

My oh loves ice-cream, I had been talking about them before for the evening do and he wasn't sure as it was a lot of extra money really to have them, but when we went to the wedding fayre and spoke to the woman about it and she said about not many people going for it in the evening but having it instead of canape's and then also pointed out that it doesn't cost much as when you factor in how much your saving on canape's he was sold. Will be fun having a consultation to decide which flavours we are having as well :D

We're thinking of having two or three sorbets and then the rest ice-creams.

We tried strawberry and prosecco sorbet, lemon curd (not sure if that was a sorbet or ice-cream) and caramel macciato... we def want them flavours on the day, but open to 3 different one's to go with them. She said they had a port and chocolate one, would like to try that as well.

So money has been transferred and the honeymoon is now paid off :D need to decide what to pay off next as we have a few other bits... nothing due now but makes sense to just start getting things sorted. Paid my dress off today :) and tried it on I love love love it and can't wait to get it on for the big day.


My mum also fond her dress today, she looks amazing in it :)

So crazy times, we're almost at the two week mark

Today we have run around like crazy, making sure things are paid off-and buying little extra presents for people. I bought some boxes for the bridesmaids glasses as don't want them to get broken and hopefully they will look amazingly presented by the time I've finished. Also ordered place cards, ordered one's which I'll have to write on as there's still the odd person here and there we're not sure if they're coming, or someone who's partner can't make it now so she's trying to find a replacement. So obviously we can't just have them down as ''partners replacement''


Also sorted our seating plan, which was way easier then I thought it would be, actually sort of just fell together.


Just want to buy a couple of extra bits present wise for people, like some alcohol, we talked about chocolates but I don't think it's actually needed to be honest. Literally only have to pay for my make-up but my trial is tomorrow so I will pay then, the magician who wants paying on the day, the photographer-who is my sister but I'm gunna try and get her bank details so I can pay her as she did say just leave it until a little before the wedding and the cake which is my friend who I'm seeing tonight, again she said leave it until closer to the time so I think I'll get her bank details and transfer it tonight or tomorrow. Oh the Church also needs paying but we have a meeting with them tomorrow so will pay that then and the camera's for the table but we pay them when they're dropped off which will be the week before the wedding. Hoping they come on the Wednesday as I'd like to be cheeky and use them for things I'm doing with my bridesmaids before the wedding as well.

Your well organised, only yesterday I manageds to get a gift for my junior bm, and need to get some nice ribbon to present the boys beee mug things.

Ice-cream for canape's booked (let slip that to one of my bridesmaids and a friend yesterday as my friend is sorting the cake and was saying about making sure it was okay while we had photo's. I was like make sure you don't miss the canape's it'll be amazing)
Music booked for Church, wedding breakfast and the evening
Photographer booked
Hair and make-up booked
Table centres and plan ect. booked
Transport booked


Little things

we have the favour boxes and favours, ribbon has been ordered and me and one of my bridesmaids are sorting them the Wednesday before the wedding.
I'll be having eye-brows waxed and nails done the Thursday before the wedding.
Gifts are almost sorted for people.
I'm going underwear shopping on Wednesday.
I've ordered place settings... have to write them out myself as we still have some questions on the odd guest.
Sashes are sorted-just need to figure out when we can get in, either the night before or the morning of the wedding-but really keeping fingers crossed it's the night before.



Am I missing anything?

Yes, we are having both of those things-the lady who is doing our centre pieces is sorting them :)


I sorted our my fiance's bits for the morning of the wedding-haven't started the scrap book yet, that seems like a scarier task lol.

All I've put in his is the socks, boxers, message in a bottle, little bottle of booze, the mini book don'ts for husband and a chocolate lolly. I don't think I could put anymore in it without it starting to look a mess.... ooo although I have ordered him a pocket watch, but I might give that to him at the wedding breakfast along with the letter opener I've got him (shaped like one of the swords from game of thrones)

Sounds like you've got everything sorted Donna, I bet everything will be fantastic. I love the idea of having an ice cream cart but we have afternoon tea as our wedding breakfast and don't wanna overdo the sweet stuff! xx

Well I had a day and a half yesterday.
The plan was to go to the shopping center with my friend to buy my underwear for the wedding, she asked me to pick her up as her car had been poorly. So I drove over no problems, popped in to go to the toilet and as we got in my car she was telling me hers had come back from the garage and had cost her however much to fix.... my car then just would not start. The engine just wasn't having any of it. So we went in her car, had a fab day shopping, I bought some jewelry for honeymoon and got the underwear sorted as well.

Got back to hers and her dad was looking at the car, my partner turned up, they tried jump starting it. No joy. Fiance decided it was an immobilizer issue, no joy on sorting it though. Got the break down guy out and he was stumped. So it's at the garage now, fingers crossed they can sort it.



Today is a bit of a lazy day. I'm happy as I've lost one and a half inches this week, will find out tomorrow if that's enough to fit back in my dress or not. But today is all about doing the crosstrainer, looking through the clothes I have for honeymoon so I know whether to be buying anymore new ones or not (I've already bought a few new ones.... cheeky but it is my honeymoon) and then later in the evening we're going to one of my bridesmaids houses and I will have a glass or two of wine, just to make sure it doesn't make me bloat, as if it is going to I'd rather find out tomorrow then the morning of the wedding.

So 4 days to go, I finished the scrap book yesterday and wrapped his presents. Also bought some last minute bits for honeymoon, not sure if we have enough clothes for honeymoon but going to have to just do with what we have and pack some older clothes I'm unsure of as honestly don't know when we'll have chance to go and buy any more and it's already too late to order things... maybe, I suppose we could get away with orders from some places.

Picked up the suits today, quite scary having them with us as it really shows how close it is, same as having the flowers in... our house is getting filled with wedding things. We need to gets bits to my mum but as she's in the process of moving house we don't wanna send stuff until last minute as her house is like a building site at the minute.... hoping things will be okay to be dropped off on Thursday as that's when I'm picking my dress up and then going off with my bridesmaids until the big day.
