My gorgeous fiancé has been talking about booking a meal and a hotel room for valentines day :) he said as it's the last one before the wedding and because we won't be able to go away over half term, as we both have separate half terms this year. Although he then went on to say, he might treat me... so not sure if he's planning on it being a surprise now he's seen what my response is.... who knows, I'll have to just wait and see. I just hope he remembers to book the dog in at the kennels if he does book something.

Also checked through my swim wear, I have 2 swimming costumes and 3 bikini's that I would be happy to take on honeymoon with me.... is that enough? I want to have a think about all the holiday clothes I have as well and make sure I have enough night time outfits and enough day time outfits for the two weeks... some days I won't need the day time outfit as we'll just be lounging by the pool or on the beach and I can re-wear some night time outfits as well no doubt... but want to make sure I take enough.

Have also been trying to convince my fiancé that we should book an airport hotel the night before we fly, he's semi-convinced at the minute I think.

Got Saturday all planned out, very excited. Will be a lovely day whether my friend says yes or no.

Also need to arrange our 6 month meeting with the venue, they haven't been in touch though, do you think we should contact them or wait for them to contact us?

Oh and not sure on his thoughts on an airport hotel, but think I'll just leave it up to him as he's the one who will be driving in the morning.

Just hoping he books something nice for valentines as he's talked it up and got me all excited, but now seems to have gone quiet on the idea :( so don't know if he's planning it as a surprise or if he's gone off the idea....

I'll probably email the venue this weekend... or just after I've sent my assignment off.... which although in my head I have given myself until tomorrow, I think it might be done tonight. I just have to do some more calculations and then write a few more bits up, but that shouldn't take too long I wouldn't think. Plus as little one is going to my mums tonight for tea and then to beavers and my fiancé has a parents evening, it's just me and the dog.

Yeah I would email your venue :) then you won't feel like you are harassing them and they can get in contact with you when it's best for them - although I'm sure they wouldn't mind being 'harassed' by you anyway, you are paying them enough money! You must be so excited now it's getting closer :) x

Not decided yet, think I'll just ask her over breakfast-was considering giving her a little something soppy-but decided against it as I didn't do anything like that for the other two, so wouldn't want them feeling left out. We're having a nice day anyway, breakfast then shopping, manicure and whatever else :)

Feeling really rubbish today, had an awful day at work-the kids were just on one, then got home and the dog has chewed two pairs of my shoes, I'm pretty sure my fiance hasn't booked anything for valentines either, which annoys me as why mention it-fair enough if I was sending him the links talk about it to me, but he found the hotels and told me about them-so why do that and then not book anything.

Thank you, I was feeling a lot better and then school ended up closing before 2nd lesson finished because of the snow, so feeling a lot less stressed now. Gives me time to finish up my assessment.

Fiancé is on his way home as well, but I think he'll be a while as he has to get back in the car, it'll probably take him an hour rather then half an hour.

I hope he gets out soon, it's not fair on him bless.

I've managed to do most of my assignment, just off to do some more reading before tackling the final question, which by the looks of the facebook group is giving a lot of people hassle. Fingers crossed I'll be okay though-I'm pretty confident in my other answers.

Right my assessment is sent off, I can focus on sending our venue an email... before going back to reading so I'm not as behind for the next assessment.

Not sure what to say to them though.

A little annoyed with my mum, she doesn't seem to listen to me. I'd asked her to transfer the money for the venue for me, which she said she would but then said that they had some of it to give me and the rest would be transferred. I heard nothing more from her so asked today when she was transferring it as we need to pay the venue next week really and she said I thought you were getting the other money first, I said no the venue want the whole lot and she said oh... when do you need it for?

I told her before when I wanted it and I told her we needed to give them the whole amount as well, it was her who split it into two amounts not us.

I feel horrible moaning because I know she doesn't have to give us anything, but it's so frustrating as I still don't know when she's going to transfer it and the venue NEED the deposit. The rest of the money we have is in a building society savings account so if she doesn't transfer it we can't get to that. I think the venue would be more understanding, but it is in the contract that the second deposit needs to be paid by 6 months in advance so they could turn around and say we've lost our date if they want to (if we don't get the money to them)

I just don't understand how my mum thought we didn't want it-or that I only wanted the first amount first. I feel like she isn't interested in anything I say, she forgot I'd told her that the bridesmaid dresses were long even though we had a massive conversation about it, as the other day she asked me if we were still going for 50's style one's and she forgot I told her that I had got 100% on my last assessment. I'm just feeling a little neglected with her at the moment.

That was another thing my mum said, I told her I was going to ask my friend and she just asked why, I explained why and she didn't really say much, just asked how long I had been thinking about it and then asked if I'd thought about the top table. I explained that bridesmaids won't be on the top table and that some people have 16 bridesmaids so obviously they wouldn't all be on the top table.

I knew she wouldn't be overly excited by the idea, but it would be nice if she wasn't so negative.

I have just got home from our day out.... we really made a day of it after meeting at half 9 and I am indeed a bridesmaid up :)

Need to make sure I get everything sorted for her that we already have for the other girls.

I'm going to hold off on buying the glasses-as because we need 3 bridesmaid one's, one for me, one for my fiancé and one for my son, it's going to cost £120 and with the money for our valentines day treat coming out this month I think I'll wait until closer to next payday.... if I can bring myself to do it, if not then I'll just go for it and order them, I just think fiancé will feel better if he checks the bank balance at any point lol.

Had a very successful shopping trip as well, bought a photo album which I will use as fiancé's scrapbook, some confetti, some stickers and some silk rose petals shaped as hearts to go in it, also as it's a plain front photo album I've got a gift tag which says ''your my favourite'' which will look lovely stuck on the front along with a picture of us. Also bought a box for all his bits for the morning to go in (thought we could also stick some confetti and silk roses petals in that). Oh and I bought a pack of tiny little bottles, so I can put a little message in a bottle in his box for him.

Also bought a frog holding a love heart for him as a silly valentines present and treated myself to a bag, which with 20% off should have been £28, but when I got to the till it came up as £6!!! I couldn't believe it, bargain of the day!!!

Well.... spoke to one of my bridemaids about the night before the wedding and a hotel room and she has suggested I stop at her mums. They're away for the week so she has the house to herself, so my other bridesmaids can stop as well if they want. It's half an hour away from my mums so not too far to travel in the morning to then get ready.

Only problem may be (which would be a problem whatever we do) is if we can't get into the venue the night before to do the chair covers we will have to do it that morning...

Our ceremony is at 12.30, which I'll be honest I'm starting to regret a little as we are going to have such a busy morning... especially if chair covers aren't done the night before.

Although do you think if we dropped everything off with the venue they would do them in the morning for us and then all we have to do is pop in to make sure it's all done how we want it before the wedding breakfast?

Thanks Amanda :) I hope it all comes together how we hope
