Hello!!! I'm just wondering what peoples thiughts are on when to book photographers etc!! I'm getting married in October and was thinking that I could get a lot sorted at a wedding fair but there isn't one available in the area I'm getting married, that I can actually attend, until the beginning of march......I've booked the venue and got my dress but that's all. Am I giving myself enough time?? Oh the stress of it all ha ha!! X x

I have been told that book at least 18 months in advance as sometimes they can be booked up for years.
So i would suggest start looking now.
Met: 1st February 2014

My wedding 1/11/15 and we are booking our photographer next month!
The sooner you book things the better in my opinion especially the bigger things as they do tend to get booked up pretty fast! My hotographer already has bookings for 2014 and 15 and is nearly fully booked for 2013! If you know who you want book asap

we are getting married may 2014 and were hoping to book a photographer by end of this month. to get the right one i think you need plenty of notice x x

The sooner the better in my opinion, view and interview however many you can, get a feel for the photographer. Use the UKBride quote service, its a truly brilliant way of finding photographers you probably haven't seen. Good luck

We're april 2014 and have the majority of things booked - photographer is one I have to do this month, but chair covers, entertainment, rings, venue, dress, flowers all booked and deposits paid. We're trying to get everything on a monthly direct debit so the figures arent quite so hideous when you get to the end! i'd definitely crack on with getting things organised. As the others say a lot of the best suppliers get booked up really early in advance! Gone are the days when the price would be really low if you made a late booking! xx

I'm getting married at the end of September and haven't booked the photogrpaher yet either. We've been sending emails and its about a 50:50 split for who is/isn't available on our date. We're hoping to get the booking made in the next month.

sooner the better you start booking always book in advance to snatch up what you want as the big things get snatched up very fast always good to plan ahead and organize your self never to early to start planning n booking =D ♥ X

Cool thanks.. Some of my friends have got married with 6 months preparation so I've been abit slow with it but want to have some choice!!..should've realised really when we booked the venue last jan and couldn't get the time we wanted for the registrar even then lol x x

I'd always say the sooner the better! We booked ours with over a year to go...probably about 18 months to go becausde our wedding is a saturday in June so a very popular date for people in the wedding industry
