    3.15pm Group photos.
4.15pm Bride and Groom to spend some time with photographer alone. Please make your way into the reception room and start finding your seat.
4.45pm Entrance of the Bride and Groom.
5.00pm Wedding Breakfast to be served.
    6.45pm Speeches
    8.00pm Evening guests arrive.
8.30pm Cake cutting followed by the evening buffet to be served.
9.00pm First Dance followed by a disco.

1.00am Last orders at the bar.

Thanks, my venue gave me most of the timescales.... i was worried it was a late evening do but cant really do alot about it.... we also wanted a recieving line but with near 100 guests it will take a good 45 minutes to thank everyone and we have 3 sets of parents so too complicated plus need to be before dinner so what do the guests do while we are having alone time.... is it ok not having one?

Hi Millz, we are having one but we only have 60 guests during the day. My mum really wanted me to have one, so we agreed. I've been to weddings which didn't have one and I didn't even realise there wasn't one until I read your post haha! xx

All very organised, do you think 30 minutes is enough for photographer to capture what you want before you walk in the receoption?
I love knowing when and where things happen so all looks fab to me.
kel has a good point with the food timing though.

They will see the order of the day in the back of the order of service so all ready arrived by then lol. Im not doing a father daughter dance, never heard of one before joining this site and its American tradition not English plus my dad can barely walk so wont work.

how do i make them aware? Write it in the invites but im thinking people know they wont eat until late?! People wil be hungry though as bus picking everyone up from the venue at 12.15 for the church so they will need a big late breakfast. We cant eat any earlier as need time for pictures and travelling xxx

I'm having a receiving line, it does take time but you've got to ensure that you have thanked and spoken to all your guests :) xx

The photographier will have to get everything in 30 minutes, i cant really make anything later and dont want our guests waiting for us.... its just a few pics of us together so shouldnt take him long?! I will send timings to photogrpahier anyway and see what he thinks xxx

I guess if your photographer knows exactly what you want and has scoped out the venue for good spots 30mins is ok.

We're not doing a line either, just mingle and chat through the day and evening
No father daughter dance for me either, my dad will give me away and that's that.

Im similar, my dad was paralised a few years ago from a nasty disease so still not 100% back to walking and i think walking me down the aisle without a stick will be enough for him let alone a dance lol. Yeah i will ensure i mingle and chat with everyone but it is just our families and a few friends so wont be hard to get around everyone xxx
