hi everyone i was just wondering who does the order of service for a church wedding.
do i have to get them printed or make myself ( think i would rather make myself) or do the church provide them.
i forgot to ask when we went and booked the church.

Hi, Our church has said that they can make ours, but they are happy for us to make our own. I would speak to the person performing the ceremony. But They will generally be done once you have your meeting with the vicar/priest and confirm your ceremony anyway. If you want to make your own, then tell them in your final meeting once reading and hymns have been decided on. This is one of the things that can be done last, i'm getting married in 5 months and havent even thought about them yet. lol xx

Our church said the same, they could print them, but would charge to do so, or we could do them ourselves providing that we sent a proof to the vicar to check that everything was in order first

Our vicar was great and 'borrowed' an order of service from a wedding she performed to help give us a guide, she also lent us hymn books to pick from, same as pennieb-mrsriley we also sent a proof to make sure it was ok. Good job we did as she spotted a small mistake :-)

We made ours in same colours/style as invites and other wedding stationery so doing them yourself its good to be able to do this.

The church I WAS going to get married in was going to charge me 50p an Order f Service and they would of been delivered to me the week before the wedding so I could decorate them to suit my theme. I thought that was a bargain!

So it's def worth asking your church about it x
