I'd be really interested to hear opinions from anyone who's bought bridesmaid and/or flower girl dresses from Dessy. What did you think of the quality, fit, value for money, customer service etc?

My bridesmaids and I really like style 6588 in the claret colour and I've ordered a fabric sample this morning. If h2b likes the colour as much as he did on the computer screen I'm thinking of contacting a retailer to see if I can arrange for the girls to try them...

My sister got 2 dresses from dessy for her wedding last year. One for me and one for her other BM who lives in Canada. The whole choosing process was brilliant, loved the dress, lovely material and quality etc. ordered two dresses in claret. Then we discovered one major problem the night before the wedding at approx 10pm.

After we'd dressed bits of the venue and come back from dinner at a local pub, I decided to take sisters wedding dress and the two BM dresses outta their dress bags and hang them so they didn't get creased and to let some air get to them. Hung up the wedding dress, took my dress out and hung it up then went into the other BM's room, took her dress out and went to hang it up and thought there was something not quite right, I thought it was the lighting so got both dresses and hung them next to eachother, they were completely different very noticeable shades of red!!

Because the other BM was from Canada, although the dresses were ordered at the same time, from the same shop and were delivered at the same time, we had gone for our fittings at different times and therefore never saw the dresses next to each other until the night before the wedding. The shop obviously didn't check or notice the difference when they were delivered.

We had big problems getting the issue resolved, I think the responsibility was 50/50 for dessy and the bridal store (who I will now avoid like the plague - terrible service).

All I can advise is that all brides, no matter who or where you get your dresses from, check all BM dresses are the same colour/shade asap if you want them matching!
