I'm part of another site and there is a HUGE debate over how many brides and grooms wear tennis shoes, like Converse on their wedding day these days.
So ladies I thought i would ask the same question on here and get the uk's brides opinion on the subject....

Converse shoes on your wedding day..... Yea or nay? and why?

I like the idea - a bit 'David Tenant' for the groom with a suit and you can't see the bride's feet anyway :)

I'm sorely tempted to get a pair, simply because, while I'll be wearing gorgeous shoes throughout the ceremony and the first dance, my tolerance for heels is extremely limited and I'll need a second pair of shoes to spend the evening in. Might as well get a nice white pair!

Personally Im not but I do think its a cool idea for a casual wedding and ive seen some fab pics with the girls in cream ones and the men in black :-) or similar colours.

Im not a huge fan of stilleto (sp?) heels myself as i cant walk in them lol
I have got a pair of little heels that im going to dye red but because im always in trainers or boots i am on the look out for a pair of low heel boots that i will dye red or blue?, as i think that would be more ME!

I would say wear what you want but personally would not wear converse to my wedding, both I and h2b live in pumps and so I feel we should make some effort for the big day! But I agree with Hails in that I have also seen some great wedding photos where the bride and groom have been wearing them, makes for very quirky photos!

I would love to wear converse to my wedding!! I'm planning on having a knee-length dress, so would be able to show them off. Actually it would be quite fitting - when me and h2b met, it was because I was wearing converse and him and his mate took pics of them (long story...) lol x
