ok in my previous post yesterday i was really annoyed because my friend had stolen my theme...
well!
me and the future hubby were talking about it and we have come up with the most perfect theme idea ever that would fit both of us perfectly.......
i am now starting to plan my ANIME WEDDING DAY :D
i already dress in a anime/lolita style so it would simply be incorporating who me and him are into our day :-D

Have you looked at lolita dresses yet? I had a quick snoop on google but I'm not finding a lot for weddings. I expected to see a lot more! Would you go for something short (like I'm seeing a lot of) or something big and frilly?

I already told you in the other thread how much I love this idea!

I have a friend who dresses up lolita style and in my younger days I channeled japanine street style a lot - before I went full time vintage. Though I never went down the lolita route - I do love looking at the pics.

As already said - with this theme you can totally go ott bonkers. I am loving it and can't wait to see the pics!
In my wedding I'll incorporate a bit of Kawaii because it's me but not as the main theme.

@ hello-kitty - that sounds like a very cool idea. And to be honest, although I really liked your previous idea my first thought was - nice, but the Lord of the Rings hype is no longer at its peak. Anime is still really big. If I were you, I'd get a bit of a kick out of announcing to everybody that you WERE going to do an Elvish theme but decided it was a bit 2001. Of course you now have a better idea which is so much more "now" (don't say what it is though - to anybody!!!).

I would make out you are sticking to the theme and tell her that your h2b is dressing as a hobbit complete with big hairy feet and that his best man would be dressing up as Gollum and calling the rings "my precious". With any luck she'll copy it and look a right dingbat.
