Might be easier to not have your BMs matching - have seen it's a trend now where they can be in diff shades of the same colour, might make your dress search for 6 easier!

Could you have the older bridesmaids in whatever colour you want and then the younger ones in a white/ivory dress with a sash that matches the colour of the older ones. I'm sure it'd be easy to get a sash made by a dressmaker out of a similar fabric to your chosen dresses!

What time are you getting married?
A lot of brides opt for a later wedding and have a buffet type meal in the evening, so you are only feeding your guests once and that way not forking out on sit down meals. xx

I'm on a budget and after paying for the registery office we have about £1,000 to do everything. What i've done is carved up the budget to reflect what i want to spend on each aspect, now i'm going through each one getting quote after quote and hopefully getting it for less than what i've allocated. For the bridesmaids dresses i quite like the idea of having the older ones in one style and the younger ones in white with a sash or ribbon around the middle. Also, when getting quote for flowers and stuff i say it's for a family celebration to start with. Honestly, i'm sure as soon as you say wedding they double the prices. In fact one cake maker we looked at gave me a quote for a two tier wedding cake that was 60 pound more than when my h2b asked about the same design on 2 birthday cake of the same size. It's pretty tough but it'll all be worth it. Good luck, let us know how you get on x

Think it would be unlikely u could get a dress to suit a 2 yr old & an adult, most people including myself put the younger ones in a flowergirl dress which is the same colour as yours with a matching coloured sash to what the bridesmaids r going to be wearing. You can get some bargains online n there's a few sellers on the bay who do nice dresses cheap just check the feedback. That's were I've bought my bm dresses n flowergirl dresses from debs

We were supposed to be getting married this oct but we couldnt afford it so we have decided on may 2013 just so that we have enough time to pay for everything as we only have the one wage coming in. I have my dress got it for £67 from the bay of e.It needs altering but my mums friend is doing that the cake im having should be £350 to anyone else but its my aunty who owns the business so she is doing it as a wedding persent. I have been lucky in that my mum has helped to she is making the buton holes for my guests and i just buying the posies and wedding party button holes. Mymaids dresses will be from the bay or evening dress prom . com they have some lovely dresses. I am also picking bits up as I go. I might order my day invites as wont need many then im going to buy a pack of evening ones.
light in a box is also a good website for some things they do have some cheap things on there i only heard about that site from someone on here.
    Good luck

Ive noticed alot of people are asking their ushers to pay for own suit hire, Just pay for groom and best man, so I am going to ask them to pay for their own its just the same if they where coming our wedding as a guest they would probablt have to go buy a new shirt or tie etc, and I would try topshop, new look, next etc for bridesmaid dresses Thats what im doing you can get really nice dress for around £50 each and than if its not to dressy like a wedding/bridesmaid dress they can wear it again, you could have the adult in a darker shade and the young ones in a lighter shade

We are also doing alot of things oueselves like the cake and invites etc.We have found a local cafe which has started offering picnics for £6 which inc food, drink, plates and even a rug for each guest. we are having 30 people to the registery office so will then pay for these people to have a picnic on the beach afterwards as the cafe also deliver the picnics. after that we are have a unity ceremony (also on the beach) followed by an evening buffet in a hotel which is only charging £8-15 per head for food depending what we want. we have asked the evening guests to pay for their evening meal instead of a wedding gift, we will only be paying for the kids.
That means our whole weding should stay under £1000

Were on a tight budget also. Weve not set an exact amount just know things have to be 'budget'
My dress cost 150 from FB when originally it was 500 in bridal shop so its worth looking round and holding off.
My BM dress cost me £20 bay of e, 2 of the same design as i originally had three BMs i now have 2, and my MOH just told me shes pregnant. Ive now spent extra £35 on a dress from a friend selling hers.
My shoes and accessories were from bay of e also that place is like a god lol.
Ive been picking things up here and there. Like went shopping in Aldi the other day and bought tall thin blue water bottles for £1.20 each for table centre pieces.
Looking at hiring suits, as they wont be worn again.
theres bargains everywhere you just have to put a creative head on, look at lots of ideas and keep them eyes peeled

I can highly recommend dresses2impressu they are a Chinese dress shop but the owner runs it from Leicster and they have just opened one in my home town Darlington. They have a fab selection and lots of colours for BM and flower girls they also do discount on some orders. I have bought my BM dresses from them and they are fab and only cost half the price of major stores. Hope this is helpful. Also I am making my own invites they have cost me £25 for 50 day and 50 evening ones.

It's great to say i get married this year September 1st 2012
