I'm so stressed out doing the first draft of our table plan! I had no idea it would be so hard! An all because of only a couple people, it has an knock on effect trying to seat them with like minded people who won't be offended by them! I have ended up with tables of 7 and then a table of ten. Also have to try and seat my 9yr old and H2Bs 12yr old sister with people who will be responsible. Tempted to just hav them at top table!

Definitely do it when you have your RSVP's back, I asked for ours 3 months before the day so we had time to do it - I also put people in groups of 8 but didn't give them place cards, so I didn't have to seat them boy-girl-boy etc!

I only have one large table to organise and I've already got about 20 different configurations! Don't envy you ladies with loads of tables to do!

I would just put names to a table rather than give them a seat. It's a headache though. We're not having a formal dinner. Just fish n chips so people can sit where they like.

Just try to think of the best plan out of the choices you have, table plans can never work out perfect lol expecially with all family circumstances.

i found mine really easy especially using the tool on here, i am having my little boy on the top table next to my mum and dad i wouldnt want to put him anywere else. i have got 6 tables of 8 and 3 tables of 9 and there will be 9 on the top table aswel so aslong as thats ok with the venue who im going to see next week it will be fine ive just made sure everyone was sat with at least one person they know, although have tried my best to keep familys together. was tempted to just put all the names in a hat and pick out at random lol, my mums friend did that at her wedding and said it was a great success got everyone mingling. good luck x

I was having a mare on mine. I had a group of people that I wanted to put together but it would have been too many on the table, so separated them into two tables of 6. If they say annoying I shall use the excuse thaton one of them is a very autistic child who is happy only when people he knows, and if I had out them all together he would of had five he did not.

The thing is, I may have another five guests not on the list already and a couple of couples lol, who may not be together by that time! And then there's those in my family who I've already had probs with causing hassle so may have a couple to remove too! Ita hard work trying to please everyone! Oh and advice for everyone, don't tell ANYONE you shouldn't that you are doing your table plan because I made the mistake of telling a friend tonight who made requests about who she should sit beside!!!
