OH went over and saw his parents today to talk serious about the wedding,as they have always said they will help but never given specfics which I need before I stressed myself to the point of breakdown budgeting.
So they have said they will pay for band , FFIL is going to pay for his and OH's suit and the Boys have said they will pay for their own suits too. Yay.
FBIL and SIL have said they will pay for the Kids entertainment for us as a Wedding present (they do have 3 of them) , and have also offered to make cake and truffle favours for us. Im going to stay with the cake maker tho due to our spacey cake that need to be airbrushed etc.
So everything was costing £7387.75 - what they said they would pay = £5662.75 - what we have already paid in deposits takes =£5162.75 - what we have already saved = £3992.75 - what my mums given us = £992.75 / by 70 weeks lest to save = 14.18 pw to save.
Im so happy! we were currently trying to save £40 min pw to be able to afford everything, I think we are still going to try and save atleast £30 pw to get to the amount we need quicker , then will help pay towards anything extra and/or honeymoon.

Thanks girls, just taken such a big stress off my shoulders, been trying to save £40/50 pw but have been really struggling to do that and pay all the bills that need paying, So can take a big breath of relief.

Fantastic it's always a big relief when people offer to help, I know that most folk will give us cash as a gift as we will have lived together 8 years by the time we get married

Oh that is fantastic news! Totally understand how that feels as we had our good luck with relatives last week and the relief and stress that lifts with this is immense - You can properly enjoy planning and buying everything you need for your big day :)

Fantastic! :D I wish my OH was a bit more forward with his parents! Their divorced but have both said they will pay £500 each towards the wedding which would really come in handy with deposits right now! But he won't push them for it so we're struggling to get them paid :/ Send your OH round to make mine grow a pair please lol!

Well they have said they will pay for stuff, so next time we see them will see, will take contract for band and ask if they can make out the cheque to them to pay the deposit.

I'm sure they'll stick to their word hun so try not to worry :) Easier said than done I know as I'm in the same boat lol! I know my OH's parents are good for it but I don't think they realize we need it now, even though it was over a year ago that they agreed to it lol!
