what are you having?
i haddnt really thought of it, but my MIL yesterday said she would like me to try on her Tiara and Veil - i thought "oh god :S" because i cannot say no!!!! lol one of my many flaws! lol so i thought i was gonna end up with a really old fashioned Veil and Tiara :S
well i tried em on and awwwwwww i loved em!!! the Veil does need a good wash n iron! lol but it is beautiful! and the Tiara is really delicate gold with lil pearls on - nothin ott - exactly what i wanted!! :D
so i have my something borrowed!!! :D
and she said i can borrow her jewelry - which was her nanas, then her mums, then hers - and that too is just a very simple, delicate pearl necklace, and lil pearl and diamond earrings - so i have something old too!! :D
my colours are Ivry and brown, with hints of gold - so these will go wont they??

i havent even considered this, theres plenty of things for new like my dress lol im going to make some blue birds to go ontop of my cheese tower/cake. borrowed not sure on that one. old i did ask mum for her wedding ring but shes lost it.

Dress new - necklace my Mums pearls that her Dad bought her so they are also borrowed - I have a 2nd pair of shoes which are blue and I believe I have been bought a blue garter by my friend

er had kind of thought about this then forgot about it all lol i have my dress as my something new obv and my shoes and maybe jewellery of mil as something borrowed my nans engagement ring as my something old (tho i dont know if that counts as i wear it everyday altho it mite not go with engagement ring as iv been told cant wear that :() so hmmmm maybe hav blue garter???

My engagement ring has sapphire as the main stone, so that's my blue!! Lots of things will be new - although my friend has offered to make my jewelery - so need the old and the borrowed and a sixpence from somewhere - any ideas on where to get one?

It is a great idea! I love it and think I will use it too. It means you get to keep them in your heart on your special day but its not something that will upset other people.

That is a lovely idea, a friend of mine also had a photo of her mum printed on a small piece of fabric and had that sown into her dress too

I've seen some Birmingham city garters on ebay. Just type in football garters.

Umm.. my theme is blue and white so my blue is my shoes
New is my dress and I have no idea whats my old and borrowed yet!!

I'm gonna find this so hard! I want everything to be new and to be honest I don't really like the colour blue either :/ lol

Not really thought about this. I'm liking the idea of names being sewn into the dress, might have to do that! My new will be dress, old i think will be my grandma's charm bracelet, not sure about borrowed or blue but i have plenty of time to figure it out! :-)

Old-nans broach that she left to me in her will, its gold and although i dont like gold and am not having it in my wedding i will hide it underneath the dress somehow.

My old is the ring pouch my mum and dad used at their wedding (sewing it onto my bouquet so I can put my engagement ring in it during the service)
new = dress, tiara, veil
borrowed = not sure yet
blue = little bow on my garter

Need to think of something to borrow, although my old item could count too i guess

OLD - my other half - 11 years older. no - it's our venue nearly 500 years old
NEW - the rings, the dress, the shoes, almost everything!
BORROWED - probably my nans engagement/wedding ring sewn onto the inside of my dress in a blue silk pocket.
BLUE - my bridesmaids, h2b's morning coat, the cake ribbon... chair sashes... decorative accents - all rich navy

My garter will be new and blue - just need something old and borrowed now! xxx

i have a lovely charm, which incorporates all of the something old, something new something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence for my shoe, its small can go in my dolly bag or i can attach it to my bouquet and i can then keep it forever afterwards :)x
