Hi I am interested in personalised olde fashioned sweet jars and found some in the olde fashioned sweet shop but they are not sure if they can be personlised. Saw one online but it was a fiver.... the one in the shop was only £3.50. Any one else doing these style favours?
Open to suggestion for other nice favours too as completely undecided.

You can make some stencils up with stickyback plastic and a craft knife then use some etching spray to personalise them hun.

thats a good idea. The woman did say shed contact the original supplier and see if they would put our details on and would sell them at cost but im slightly peeved since they never got back to me. Will bug them next time in Chester and if no joy will look into making my own with stencils etc.

Either that or you could print something onto paper and then stick them onto the jars. You could then add your wedding colours and some ribbon.
im just worried I would mess that up! dont like the idea of doing it myself... i am not the most creative.

Im going to use small luggage tags, write on each one in italics ( if i can master it!!) then thread colour co - ordinated ribbon through and tie them around the neck of the jar.

clairebear67 - snap thats whats im doin too on the ikea spice jars lol. was thinkin of sticky label on the jar with pic of us on and wedding date then guests name in the tag as name place / favour combi. xxx

Vikki977 - Great minds think alike and all that lol. Thats really nice idea you have. I was originally going to get those little favour boxes for the favours but it can work out expensive, we were in town a couple of days ago and you know those little jars you can get with cake decorations in, they are about 4 inches high, bought 4 for a £1, have took the red ribbon off and have soaked off the labels all I will do is tie some of our theme coloured ribbon around the top and fill with our own treats. Will need a few of them but got a while yet, so will just get what i can when i can. xx
