i love seeing old couples together, so sweet. and i alway hope our relationship work out like this. me and h2b when for a walk this morning and saw this old couple we started talking and they realised that we were engaged, so they was telling us that in our relationship we should always, listen, show care and understanding,communicate, give each other theyr space, spent time together and enjoy each other. that realy keep me smiling. so lovely. they were still walking hand in hand, talk and smiling all the way round the park,
my auntie have also been married 35 years and i love seeing them together. parent 10 ten still going strong.

I quite agree. Love is a beautiful thing to see in people who have stayed committed to one another.
My P.I.L have been married 42 years, together 46....they are like one person.

My great gran and grandad was like that they would always tell me about how they started courting and how they made their marriage work. They were courting for 4 years before they got engaged then they were married for 61 years then my gran died just before their 62nd the story was so sweet so i hope to be like them but then again my grandma married for the 2nd time and has been married 33 years on the 28th May and seeing as im getting married on that same date i hope i can be like them as well xx

Its is amazing to see couple last that long becaus eyou see and hear all the negatives of getting married but you never hear the positives. 74 years with one person must be totally amazing.

Pouchi..just to confirm..they didnt get to 74 years..I am marrying on what would have been their 74th Wedding anniversary...they where married for 60 something years...need to check how many exactly!

It is great when you can talk to people whose marriage has lasted. We have good friends who have just been away to celebrate thier 50th Wedding Anniversary! They are very helpful for advice!

60 year is still amazing babes. i often laugh with my h2b about us walking hand in hand while the other hand is holding our walking sticks, or going our own children wedding etc. things like this makes he want to go find h2b and say tells get married now. you know what i will do i will phone him and tell that i love him.
