Ok, been looking up wedding dresses :) Have found that there loads of websites that have wedding dresses, prom dresses and ball gowns. But what's the difference, well apart from the obvious, I mean you can actually wear a prom dress or a ball gown as your wedding dress! Couldn't you?!?! Also their cheaper! So what is the difference! Anyon know?
    rant over... x

I don't see why you couldn't wear a bin liner if you feel good in it!

Well the dress I am having on my profile is a ball gown but because they use a finer net for wedding dresses its slightly more expensive than having a ball gown.I am pretty sure thats the only difference though

No difference. Wedding dresses are usually more elaborate and shades of white- thats the only difference.

I'm wearing a ball gown - it's by Forever Yours (38222) in ivory. When I tried it in the shop I didn't even realise it was a ball gown - it's off the shoulder, tafetta and full skirt, just like a lot of wedding dresses lol.

There's a pic on my profile and one of it in pink which looks more like a ball gown. In ivory you wouldn't think it was though.

Thanks. Well it ticks all the boxes (I don't feel comfortable in strapless, didn't want anything too plain and with travelling up to Gretna for the wedding I was told because it's tafetta it doesn't crease - just hang it up for an hour of so before wearing). I think I must have been thinking practically when I bought it lol.
