i'm getting confused with what i would like for our wedding in cyprus i have a very strong feeling it will only be close family that are able to attend rather than my friends due to working in the police, monies, starting families etc if thats the case the numbers will go to only about 15 inc my and h2b
am planning on sending invites out in july due to it being abroad so have a few months left yet but am wondering if i should sound out my friends who have a save the date and say its just family going now but are all obv invited to the uk reception and the girls who were my bridesmaids can be then
this would also reduce costs as h2b had a pay cut on xmas eve, his wage is due to go back up again next month but not sure what to
what do you ladies think? is it even worth thinking about now? xx

i also agree, if they can afford to get out there then great, but maybe you could see who would be able to come and then decide whether or not it'll be best to have just a close affair in cyprus then a celebration back in the uk for everyone else

i wouldnt worry about it yet, give it a while if your not sending invites out til june and see how you feel nearer to then x
im going abroad only having about 16 people and then having a party of 200 coming back...people may feel offended that your doing it abroad trust me ive been told im really selfish...which is terrible..but its your day and im sure everything will be fine!

I'm going abroad..........just me and h2b (parents were on about going, but think once they saw the price of the plane tickets and hotel not sure they are now) But thats how we planned it as it is our day and no one elses.
We weren't going to have a reception upon returning to the UK, but have since changed our minds and are having one so everyone can celebrate with us. xx

i would just say that you would love people to join you but that you understand if they cant afford to do so and you will be having a reception on your return
i think your all right i think i'm thinking smaller as well due to monies but is a while off yet and still do-able will be a hard slog but well worth it
i think i'm on a bit of a downer i need to pay something off to perk myself up a bit lol xx
