my friends mother is supposed to be making my BM dresses for me, for 4 of them was only going to cost £100 but they have had a massive fall out and she doesnt think they will ever talk again as she said thats its she has had enough (my mate) which i cant say i blame her as her family are completely terrible to her, but after the shock of what she told me i then realised shit what about my dresses, does that make me bad i dont know, but have asked her what she wants to do as i dont know her mum and cant get hold of her and would feel weird get her to make my dresses if they arent talking, dont know what to do now, as cant afford to buy teh dresses that i want as they retail ast between £120- £180 per dress and cant afford that starting to stress about it now :( xx

Cant you ask the bm to pitch in a bit? and maybe find a different dress maker who could do them cheap?

this all happened last night, think everything has got out of control coz its her grandad funeral today so think everybodies emotions are running hi, she wouldnt mind if i still had her mum make my dresses but i would feel weird if she didnt come with me as i dont know her and never met her, will prob have a word with her tonight and see what she says xx

Is it a particular dress you want or are you open to new ideas. If so, I went to debenhams (great advertising) got 4 bridesmaid dresses for £200! Look in the prom dress section - there are some lovely ones! Hope that may help. x

hope it all goes ok! big hugs to your friend, bet she is going through the emotional works at the minute :) it'll work out, there are other dress makers out there, and could maybe do as good a job as cheap! my nana in law is doing mine so i knwo how you feel, i've known the lady for 3 years and still cant bear to go there on my own :)

cheers ladies, have just spoken to my ,mate, and she said that we will leave it as her mum making them for me, and that she will give me her mums number so i can deal with her myself, but she will still come over there with me as i would feel weird with out her there, but her other half works in the theather (my photographer) and he has said that he can find me another dress maker if i need him to so i have a back up plan if need be, feeling a bit better about it all now, now im just a bit concerned that if i do use her mum will she p i s s up my dresses coz im a friend of her daughters, or am i just stressing about nothing aaaarrrggghhh BM they are the biggest headache :(
